I think as a child, pretty much everyone has had an experience where they watched a movie when they were incredibly young and impressionable, or watched a slightly too mature movie with their parents or something, and got really scared when they shouldn't have. Share those experiences here.
The biggest one I remember is Mars Attacks. I was 8 years old when I saw this, and I was so confused when I saw it in the "comedy" section of the video store some time later. All the people getting roasted to bloody skeletons, and even the part where that guy got his finger bit off scared the shit out of me. Plus I thought the aliens themselves looked creepy as hell.
Another major one was The Frighteners. The grim-reaper ghost-like thing was the scariest part of that movie to me, not to mention lots of other parts.
I haven't watched either of those movies since years ago when I was totally scared of them.
Bonus: In the Little Mermaid, that scene where Triton goes batshit insane and destroys all of Ariel's stuff scared me when I was really little. I'd always leave the room when that scene was happening.

BWAH!
The rest of the movie isn't scary though. Just Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about being pregnant.
When I was a kid, Scrooged with Bill Murray scared me.
But I like it now.
101 Dalmations when I was a kid.
This scene where she's driving.

Chubby Rain fucked with my mind when I was a kid.

I feel like every horror movie I watch has a good jump scene in it..
The one scene in Casino Royale where [sp]when LaChiffre is on the balcony with his girlfriend after the first 4 hours of gambling. And all of a sudden, the men that LaChiffre owes money to grabs him[/sp]. That scene scared the living crap out of me. I really jumped in my seat.

The scene that scared me was a guy woke up to his wife but the camera was on him then the wife started talking and the camera moved to her and she was a giant praying mantis!!!!
Any one know this movie?
The Mask and the Son of the Mask creeped the fuck out of me.
That fucking monkey in the first Pirates of the Caribbean.
When I was like four or five the fem-bots in Austin Powers scared the SHIT out of me.
I would cower behind the sofa.
All of Tim Burton's movies leave me with an uneasy feeling just because nightmare before christmas scared the piss out of me.
And I still refuse to watch James and the Giant Peach because it's so freaky.
The chocolate river tunnel in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory scared me so much as a kid. I had to be removed from a video rental store because they were playing it on the TV and I started going batshit, or so I'm told.
half blood prince.. Do not know why.
The drunk dream scene in Dumbo
I don't know what it was called, but in some movie I saw a portion of as a child, a woman in Nazi-era Germany gasses herself with some poison...gas, and she dies. I still to this day have major problems with self-mutilation, and that movie made me freak out.
EDIT: Also, if you've ever seen the film 'Alien 3000', you know the meaning of horror. That movie was so terrible I nearly went blind.
In fact, there isn't even a Wikipedia page for it. Here's the Rotten Tomatoes page of it though: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/alien_3000/

The whole movie wasn't scary nor was it a horror movie, but this scene was kinda scary.
The end of Back to the Future 3 where the train went over the cliff. I was only like, 4 when I watched it so I didn't understand that it was
a) fiction
b) A hundred years in the past.

That. If your child ever asks you what taking drugs is like, show them this.
And the scene in Jurrasic Park where the guy on the toilet gets munched. I was four when I saw that the first time, I literally jumped behind the couch and stayed there for the rest of the movie :v:
