France’s National Observatory Against Islamophobia reports that since last Wednesday a total of 60 Islamophobic incidents have been recorded, with countless minor encounters believed to have gone unreported. Amongst the incidents, a mosque in Le Mans was hit with four grenades, and gunfire directed through one of its windows.

Mosque ransacked and copies of Quran burned in Corsica A small group smashed the glass door to the mosque, ransacked the prayer hall and partially burned books including copies of the Quran, said regional official Francois Lalanne. "Fifty prayer books were thrown out on the street," Lalanne said, adding that some of the pages were burnt. The French Council of the Muslim Faith denounced the violence and pointed to the timing of the attack on Friday "on a day of prayer for both Muslims and Christians"

Man runs his car into soldiers guarding French mosque.
http://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2016-01-01/man-attacks-soldiers-guarding-french-mosque-with-his-car Depending on who the 'terrorist' and 'victim' is, who's attacking and who's retaliating, and the place of occurence, both terms are conveniently interchangeable.
Now put that context in Iraq
In Iraq, the reverse still isn't true: the person firebombing isn't the victim - he's an asshole. The thing is, however, that the firebombing is not a reflection of his own religion but instead of his arrogance, demographics, lack of education, etc. Trying to ascribe it to his religion is asinine and faulty while also supporting the neglect of the poorest of these countries that end up getting involved with terrorist acts because we as the western nations push them into desperation. You shouldn't be upset because you can't always make out Muslims to be the bad guy - you should be coming to a realization that your thought process is flawed and should be adjusted to reflect reality and not ease. It's easy to be wrong.

His motives were unclear, but with France on high alert after the coordinated attacks in Paris on Nov. 13, determining what, or who, was behind the attack carried a sense of urgency. One soldier was slightly injured in the leg, and a passerby was hit in the leg by a stray bullet, the interior and defense ministers said in a joint statement.
Way to give short shrift to this story while you're posting. Ramming a car into soldiers guarding a house of worship is indefensible no matter what religion is practiced within.
