[release]NEWBURGH, N.Y. (WPIX) - A man donning nothing but a smile and a jazzy pair of sneakers was Tasered four times by Newburgh police Tuesday night.
The man -- who has not been identified -- was apparently running in the buff down Broadway around 11:30 p.m., causing cars to swerve out of his way.
When authorities arrived on the scene and ordered the man to stop, he apparently refused. When one cop whipped out his Taser gun , the man reportedly began sprinting toward them, shouting, "Give it to me!"
The man was hit once with the Taser and fell to the ground. However, police say he hopped right back up as officers began to surround him. He was then shocked again, but then began to engage in a fight with the cops as they tried to handcuff him.
Police say they were forced to Taser him a third time, but the man resisted and at one point began lifting four cops off the ground.
Authorities were ultimately able to arrest him after the man was Tasered a fourth time.
Officials say the man, who was rushed to St. Luke's Hopsital, was under the influence of PCP.
