The government said the move, which resulted from an agreement with the rebels, ended the country's oil crisis. Rebels originally seized four terminals as they demanded more regional autonomy. The two other ports were returned to the government in April. The country's exports have been badly hit by the oil blockade. "Today we regained control of the ports at Ras Lanuf and Sidra," Libya's acting Prime Minister Abdullah al-Thani said at a joint news conference with rebel leader Ibrahim Jathran. "We have successfully reached an agreement to solve the oil crisis," he added. Mr Jathran confirmed the deal, describing it as a goodwill gesture.
Will this effect gas prices in the US?
Probably not... [editline]2nd July 2014[/editline] Forever high prices
Will this effect gas prices in the US?
Maybe Europe's at best. The US gets very little oil from that region, despite popular belief.
The most important part of any emergency in an oil-rich foreign country, will it affect the price of gas in any way?
fixed that for you
What a failed state.
Probably not... [editline]2nd July 2014[/editline] Forever high prices
USA average per gallon - $3.70 (£2) UK average per gallon - £4.80 ($8 roughly) AKA go fuck yourself and your cheap fuel.
USA average per gallon - $3.70 (£2) UK average per gallon - £4.80 ($8 roughly) AKA go fuck yourself and your cheap fuel.
you numbskull you also have to factor in what the cost of living is in said parts so what seems "cheap" really isn't all that cheap to a certain degree. to be honest 3.70 would make my wallet cry like a motherfucker.

But at my current wage and the fact I drive for a living atm, I would kill for $3.70 a gallon instead of the equivalent $7-8 im paying.
The most important part of any emergency in a foreign country, will it affect my life in any way?
Should I care about every emergency overseas that doesn't affect me?
Maybe Europe's at best. The US gets very little oil from that region, despite popu$$lar belief.
Doesn't matter, the price of Canadian oil depends on the global market price.
Should I care about every emergency overseas that doesn't affect me?
Arguing from a overly singular point of view isn't exactly helpful either.
