I can't belive you guys haven't posted this already, shame on you. Yakuza: Kiwami and Yakuza 6 got announced for a western release at Playstation Experience. These are some of the best games around nowadays and remind me of old PS2 games from a design perspective but with modern tech which is really nice. I also really like how they have finally started to add the cool subtitles from the Japanese games to the translated titles. oh fuck yes, I was worried we weren't gonna get Kiwami
I had just finished the original Yakuza and enjoyed it, but it did feel rather dated. Looking forward to the remake. I have a lot of catching up to do before 6 comes out.

Combat is faster and smoother and you aren't really locked in into a specific direction any more once you do combos. Still great that we're finally getting it though and a great way for new players to get into the series.
I wonder if they will give us the original English dubs for the remaster. Mark Hamill was "Mad Dog" Majima in the first one.

I doubt they'd get the cast back together just to record a few new lines.

It's nice that they keep localizing these, but I still wonder why they don't give us the HD versions of 1 and 2. It would make the series way more accessible, since people wouldn't have to hunt down copies of 1 and 2, use an emulator, or start at 4 or 3. Also, we wouldn't have to listen to the mediocre english dub of the first game.
