US signs international declaration on climate change, despite Trump's past statements
While President Trump has talked tough in the past about his skeptical views on climate change, his administration appears to be taking a more cautious approach to the issue on the world stage in the early days of his presidency.
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson signed a document today calling climate change a “serious threat” to the Arctic and noting the need for action to reduce its potentially harmful effects.
The document, known as the Fairbanks Declaration, concluded Tillerson’s chairing of a meeting of the Arctic Council, a board made up of indigenous groups and the eight countries bordering the Arctic, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
I mean this is good
but I can't help but think
Trump is a feckless fucking useless moron who can't even ram through his own shit that his own party agrees with despite having the entire government in his pocket.
I suppose we should be thankful his ineptitude is a reliable constant.
well there you have it folks, trump's staff said climate change is serial, so naturally trump is going to withdraw from the paris accords or at least find some convoluted way to greatly reduce our commitment since his admin is about the staff not doing what trump does.
I'm not sure how binding this is considering Trumps EPA has bragged about rolling back environmental protections already, in Alask no less.
But props to Judas for posting positive news about Trump when he does something right. Sure beats the cynical use of other peoples misfortune to push a pro-Trump agenda.

Apparently Trump Has decided to either pull out or make the Paris Accord Toothless.
Edit: Hidden Language actually was found to have some enforcement, you couldn't scale down your pledge.

Tillerson did this, not Trump
