When Google first told him he wouldn't get any money as a result of the accidental transaction, he said it was fine — he'd rather it be donated to charity anyway. "I don't care about the money, " Ved told Business Insider. "It was never about the money. I also want to set an example that it's people who want to find bugs that it's not always about the money." ... Ved chose to donate his reward to an Indian foundation that focuses on bringing education to the slums. He won't disclose the amount Google awarded him, only hinting that it was at least "more than 10,000."
can't the dude just receive the bounty and then give to to charity himself?
can't the dude just receive the bounty and then give to to charity himself?
That's exactly what he did?
can't the dude just receive the bounty and then give to to charity himself?
Why complicate the process more than it needs to be? Seems like an odd thing to complain about.
This is news I can get behind.
can't the dude just receive the bounty and then give to to charity himself?
He'd have to pay tax on it if he did it that way.
I guess Google is more benevolent than I think they are. Or maybe there were just this once.
I guess Google is more benevolent than I think they are. Or maybe there were just this once.
Sometimes i wonder if its this, they are good people just they are being forced to do shitty actions
Sometimes i wonder if its this, they are good people just they are being forced to do shitty actions
Did Google become a bad company while I wasn't looking? What "shitty actions" do they do all the time?
Google is literally the lesser of so many evils today
Did Google become a bad company while I wasn't looking? What "shitty actions" do they do all the time?
gmail ate my attachments
He'd have to pay tax on it if he did it that way.
I'm pretty sure donations are a tax write-off.
I'm pretty sure donations are a tax write-off.
Yes, but I'm pretty sure he'd still have to pay some kind of income tax for receiving the money.
From what I've seen, Google is like 85% not evil. I mean, it's a big fucking company, there's going to be good and bad people in high-ranking positions.
gmail ate my attachments
At least you can save attachments. Effing outlook on my phone can't
