[B]It follows the French saying Team GB's riders, including Sir Chris Hoy and Laura Trott, were hiding their 'magic wheels' after races.[/B]

France team director Isabelle Gautheron said: ‘We are asking a lot of questions: how have they gained so many tenths of seconds?’ ‘Have they found a new training process based on certain energy pathways? I am not talking about any illicit product, because anti-doping tests are so strong. [B]‘We are looking a lot at the kit they use. They hide their wheels a lot. Cameron, who was in the stadium on "super Saturday" when Team GB won three gold medals in track and field, said: "When I think of the most moving moment for me on that Saturday night, there he was, this sort of slightly lonely figure with the team of Ethiopians and the team of Kenyans chasing him down and trying to stretch him out by having these short bursts of pace and he just kept plugging away and that last lap was just unbelievably emotional and exciting."[/QUOTE]

We should ignore the fact that all this stuff was cleared earlier in the year by cycling's governing body. Then again, look at any sport that has some sort of tech related development with it and you will always see the winners being accused of flouting the rules.

I'm not sure how it works but apparently everything the British cyclists are using (apart from the heated shorts) have been available for the general public to purchase (probably at some extremely high price due to being custom made). So if the French REALLY wanted to know what was going on they could find out.

Also the "magic" wheels are apparently the same wheels the French are using but they are more round.

I doubt it, a big part of the medals being won is the involvement of the scientists and researchers who help the athletes reach their maximum potential, the effort and resources they pour into getting maximum performance shouldn't be something that they are obligated to share with other countries who didn't devote the same amount of energy. Of course, there is nothing stopping other countries from finding out about those methods on their own.
