I made this banner for my friend, I thought it be cool to show it on here to.

It was easy to make, I used Paint.NET. I just overlapped some Text. I think it is pretty cool, at least cool for like 10 minutes of work.

This is still at least ten times better than any picture you've made in the madness thread of yours rovar, so I don't understand your need to be so hateful. The picture is nice after all and it could've easily been made in MS Paint so why all the hate?

lol I don't particularly like rovar's thread either, but no - this is not better in any way, shape or form.
There's something uncomfortable about the pattern on the text and either put an interesting background or make it transparent.
This guy is annoying the Garry's Mod section, that's why I'm ragging on him. I don't particularly like him. Neither does the rest of the Garry's Mod community apparently. They kept giving him shit even after we all said what he was doing was wrong. And he still wouldn't listen to us. Regardless of what we said. He only listened after we became harsh with him. I don't particularly like my thread either due to the bad blood it's made between me and a lot of the MSPaint community. I don't regret it either though.
I do not disagree with you Dick, I find that the picture is nice. But 2 things are wrong. Wrong section, shouldn't have made a new thread. I get easily rattled by people who have annoyed me, even though it blows over soon enough.
So he made a thread... about a banner for a group... that has a hand made text effect that you can do it the most of 2 minutes?
Why is everyone saying this looks nice. Almost every photo manipulation program has this as an option for text anyhow.

Basically, if it looks like shit and is unfunny,
don't bother posting it.
2. Encourage and Advise. Telling someone
that their image is shit is not encouraging
or advising. Tell them what they need to
work on.
3. No Shitposting. This is common sense,
if your post has no real relevance to anything,
don't post at all.
4. No commenting on moderation actions in
the thread. This is considered derailing and will
also get you banned.

He used a Photo editing program. 1 click of a button can help make this effect. So yes, it falls under, "Effortless things".
And believe me, I've tried giving this kid constructive criticism in many other threads. He refused to take it, fighting against people's reasoning. So no, I did not break the 2nd and 3rd rule. I did tell him where to post it, and I am not shitposting as I am fed up with his recent behavior.

Originally the image was made for a Loading URL. Since the URL was a white back ground, I made the image white like so. Although I agree with you, I also was using a different loading image I found on google, so white is really the way to go for this image.

Actually, it wasn't a click of a button. The text was a click of the button obviously, I don't know many people make text by using like the pencil tool. I made the text then placed it over the other text, it was easy, quick, and does look neat. I could of spent maybe 2 more minutes on it, that would make it maybe 15% better. I'll try to put [b]more[/b] effort into my next image I create though.
I could make the same thing in 3 minutes with Photoshop. Make a layer that's the foreground text, make one that's the background text. Put a solid black image over the backing text, and a red/white pattern over the foreground.
Try to do something with more pizazz to it, not something that's easily done in a few seconds.

I'm not going to critique something that doesn't even belong in this section. This is the MSPaint section, nothing else. I would have been just dandy if he posted in another Creationism Corner sub-forum, or just the Creationism Corner.
And yes, I have been a lot through lately and I overreacted, but seeing you keep making the same mistakes over and over is annoying. Also, it's a widely known fact that the MSPaint section is cool with Paint.net
My problem was that this wasn't exactly anything great, but If he made it by hand, then I'd say he's got some potential to him.

Doesn't sound like effort to me. Nor does it sound like he made it by hand.
And he made a completely new thread for this. Paint.net is a good program, I admit. I mean, I've used it on occasions.
I'm annoyed by the fact that he is creating a totally new thread with content that doesn't deserve it. Maybe if he had a bunch of these and made a dump thread. I've done that. But we have a specific thread for this, and he just came in and made a new one without even looking.

this would have taken him less than a minute, as the hardest part of this was figuring out what tool to choose to get the program to do everything for me
the foreground text is just checkers 50% in a pulldown menu, and the shadow is also done by a simple pulldown menu again, i didnt even need to touch the pencil or paintbrush tool, just the word tool and the rest was all effects
