I had similar warning here in central Indiana, got some really fast winds, but not much else. Hope you folks in NC come out alright.
Im in England Worst thing we get here is heavy wind! :v: But yeah stay safe over there in Carolina!
Was wondering why the hell Casar's sirens were going off when I got home tonight. Geeze, instead of sitting around taking a test on home mortgages, I could had been storm chasing. Thoughts go out to the less-fortunate folk who don't have the advantage of being up in the 'hills.
Tornado watch in effect here as well. (Montgomery County, VA)
Thank goodness I'm at my residence in Pennsylvania and not my other residence in North Carolina. But yea, we had a warning up here for storms and what not
I'm actually in Cumberland County, but thanks for informing us.
Wasn't there a warning in Chicago? Damn, I want to move over there. It's hot as shit here.
Thanks, I didn't see this on TV yet
shit my grandma is down there :saddowns:
piedmont region, represent.
Same here in Kentucky. Bett3r get mah gun and fight awf dat ternada, herghe.
shit my grandma is down there :saddowns:
Shes going to get hit by a tornado. Call her up and say farewell.
It's suppose to be an insanely powerful storm, hope you guys make it though. I know that stuff can be very damaging.
Do you guys get tornado warning sirens frequently??? Must be pretty scary.
It's suppose to be an insanely powerful storm, hope you guys make it though. I know that stuff can be very damaging.
Shit, really?
There was a Tornado watch here in Cincinnati today as well. Was in school during the storm. I was so pissed I missed it.
I live in NC and I love wind. Huzzah.
It feels fucking amazing outside. I can't even explain it. It's humid without feeling sticky. It's breezy without being chilly. It smells great. Front porch blunt time.
It hasn't been very bad lately in Buncombe county. I checked the Accuweather radar, and we're basically in an "eye of the storm" kinda situation. To the east and west there are heavy storms, but it's peaceful here. Keep in mind that this could change at any time.
All that mess blew through Missouri last night. My car got washed thanks to heavy rain and 30MPH winds. :edit: Good luck eastern facepunch!
Well, fuck. At least that explains why my power went out briefly about an hour or two ago.
Well...........fuck
I feel like living in the mid-west has desensitized me to weather warnings. I've had a ton of Tornado warnings (When "rotation" has been spotted in the clouds, instead of a warning when it's just "conditions likely for formation of tornadoes"). None of the warnings were actually Tornadoes, and the only one that damaged was a micro-burst.
All good in Onslow county. :>
I don't know why these are thread worthy, in taxes you get like 20-30 of these a year, with 15-25 flash flood warnings/watch. pro-tip with warning systems, most the time they're the local government over reacting. if you live in a area that dosn't get much weather that warrants these, then chances are its more over reacting is greater.
I live in North Carolina to. What city do you live in?
Wonder if Storm Chasers will be on this one, I recall they did quite a few episodes in N. Carolina.
Tornado watch in effect here as well. (Montgomery County, VA)
'Tornado watch' sounds weird to me. As though they're difficult to spot coming or something. If a supercell decides to spawn a tornado right over your fucking head I guess it could take you by surprise.
In Union County, it's quite windy right now.
