MAD is a Cartoon Network American animated sketch comedy series created by Kevin Shinick & Mark Marek. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, it can be considered a successor to the cancelled FOX series MADtv (though MAD is more faithful to the source material than MADtv was, MAD is animated while MADtv had live-action and animation, and MAD, despite its TV-PG rating on Cartoon Network, is aimed more at children than MADtv, which was rated TV-14 and was aimed at teenagers and adults to serve as a rival to NBC's Saturday Night Live).
What is it about?
Based upon Mad magazine, each episode is a collection of short animated parodies of television shows, movies, games, celebrities and other media using various types of animation.[1] The series premiered on September 6th, 2010.[2]
Episode lists:
Episode 1- CSiCarly (Nit picking at the Horatio Kane One liner meme)
Episode 2- Star Wars: The Groan Wars (The fuck?)
Episode 3- Grays In Anime (Pedobear, Carmell Dansen, over 9000, the works)
Episode 4- uGlee (Not sure yet)
Episode 5- Wall*E*Nator (Parodies include WALL•E•NATOR (a crossover between WALL-E and The Terminator) and Extreme Renovation: House Edition - Superman's Fortress of Solitude (a crossover between Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Superman)
Episode 6- Pirates of the Neverland: At Wit's End (Make a Guess)
Episode 7-I Love You, Iron Man (Once again, not too hard to figure out)
No mater how obnoxious you think memes are, I'm just happy to see that TV is picking up on them. I only liked episode 1 and 3, but I've yet to see any of them past 3.
Post your favorite scenes?
(I in don't like this show at all that much. The only thing I like is the fact that they have the balls to make memes like Keyboard cat Main-stream!)
