jesus christ that did not look safe
awesome though
When he let striker lever go at 1:45 I got legitimately very uneasy, even though I knew that it's not gonna go off. Fucking military training exercises.

Jesus christ I watched it full now. I wonder what my exercise observing officer would've said if he'd seen this shit.

that made me uncomfortable as well and i'm not even in the military
They don't look like they loaded the grenades with a full charge, the fragmentation didn't go out further than a couple of feet and didn't look like they had any momentum?

A full charge would have torn straight through that plexi glass shield at the start.
Well that wasn't very safe

I mean, the grenades were like little babby explosions so that wasn't that bad and the building explosion was probably controlled so that they knew the blast wouldn't get the one guy but still, debris can do some crazy shit.

The whole time I was thinking "oh shit oh shit he didn't throw it yet why"
what the hell
this is the very definition of unsafe
Those grenades look like stunt grenades at best. They look nothing at all like the real thing. Especially when you watch the slow mo and you see the shell of the grenade shattering in chunks like plastic rather than fragmenting metal. Didn't look any more destructive than a large firecracker.
Was pretty disappointing to be honest.
(apart from blowing up the building, that was pretty cool.)
We use the exact same jacket that Dan is wearing at Army Cadets. Thats the one fitted with armpit zips for ventilation :v:
Would that many explosive barrels yield such a petty result?

Imagine getting your armpit hair caught in the zipper.

nah, gotta remember that explosive barrels don't contribute to one large explosion - at most, they set off the ones next to them
source: I play video games

It was obviously a controlled pyrotechnics explosion. They wouldn't actually risk blowing up volatile materials that would make for an unpredictable and dangerous result. Especially considering that this is part of an advertisement campaign by BF4.
When he throws the grenade into the building, there's a guy running beside him.
But when we get the camera behind the glass, there's no guy running with him :(
This is all so staged and sellout it's not even funny.

It's a sponsored video.
medium to big youtubers crave that because it opens more doors for other sponsored videos or perhaps work later with those companies. It's obvious it was sponsored by EA, but I don't see why that's a bad thing.
I mean it's like saying to someone who perhaps does tech support for a hobby doing a small intern gig and calling them a sellout, They do it because they could be working with them in the future. Sponsored videos are a foot in the door.

God forbid someone gets a sponsorship to make videos that they enjoy making.
Besides, Do you really think that the police would allow people to fuck around with grenades and high explosives that weren't set up properly and someone getting blown to smithereens?
that was fucking awesome.
Awesome. How can you even complain about a slow-mo video of something blowing up?
