• Drum and Bass mix, any way to improve?
    6 replies, posted
I recently did a drum and bass mix just out of curiosity to see how it turned out and how it would sound but also whether or not it could be used if(or perhaps when) I could manage to get to Dj live. Besides this not really much too say but any feedback would be nice as improving my mixing is a must for me. Hope you enjoy it.
its like listening to windows media player, the mixing just feels like you using the crossfader to blend tracks without even pitching them to match or counting the beats in the track for the drops to line up with eachother practice djing way more before you start uploading sets
Counting the beats is kinda a small problem for me as I don't use decks so trying to beat match can be a pain, is there anyway to negate that while using a midi controller like a launchpad? Also how could you pitch the songs together? I'm still a complete novice so im trying to learn as much as I can from a person with more experience.

I'm using Ableton live
Ableton live makes beat matching child's play. You should be gridding and warping all your tracks if you're playing with live. Look for some tutorials on that and you'll understand why :)
I'll make sure I have a look on Youtube. Thanks :) Is there anything else I should know about?
