Dems have been wanting the entire transcript released, so I guess they decided to take it into their own hands. http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/367927-senate-dems-demand-release-of-fusion-gps-interview
About fucking time they grew a backbone. Thanks, Feinstein.
About time Feinstein did something good for once
In the document they first ask about Fusion GPS in general and talk about some other Russian stuff, then they move to Trump around page 62.
Well, somewhat analogous to the Browder 5 situation I found it notable this was something he 6 didn't want to talk about and testified under oath 7 he wouldn't know Felix if he ran into him in the 8 street. That was not true. He knew him well and, 9 in fact, continued to associate with him long after 10 he learned of Felix's organized crime ties. So, 11 you know, that tells you something about somebody. 12 So I concluded that he was okay with that and that 13 was a troubling thing. I also, you know, began 14 to -- I keep saying I, but we as a company began to 15 look at where his money came from and, you know, 16 that raised a lot of questions. We saw indications 17 that some of the money came from Kazakhstan, among 18 other places, and that some of it you just couldn't 19 account for.
:v: 312 pages, this is going to dominate the rest of the week's news and expose a lot of shit the GOP preferred to keep in the dark. And Mueller still wants to interview Trump in person and Trump is very likely to implicate himself and everyone around him within 5 minutes when he does. 2018's getting brighter every day, boys.
Not sure what he's referring to specifically, but it is almost a certainty that the poor girls involved in the Ritz Moscow "piss tape" were murdered to prevent leaks or verification.
Other than saying things that people agree with, why has Seth Abramson become the go to guy around here? He's a creative writing professor with a blog about poetry who does political tweets (Funny how you refer to his like 1 year of being a lawyer, and don't mention his current line of work.) that lots of people have called out as amateurish. Why is he considered a legitimate source?
Do some digging. He's not what your sources claim. I got the dates of his various graduations mixed up. What are his journalistic credentials? Clearly being an ex-attorney and professor of an unrelated field doesn't make your tweets a legitimate news source. This article seems to present multiple false claims that he's made through tweets (I have no idea about the source, but evidence is provided, and it's listed as left biased with high factual reporting): https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/04/stop-listening-to-seth-abramson-on-donald-trumps-r.html

His legal summaries, backed by nearly a decade of legal experience, are thorough, well explained, and well cited. They are opinions, but they're qualified opinions.

Everything he's saying is independently verifiable, just with some added legal insight. He's literally giving his comments on this publicly visible document. Why are you trying so hard to discredit him?
i'm actually gonna agree with sgman, in part. if abramson is qualified, so be it, but i've seen a quickness and a willingness to believe his tweets over here on FP that comes off as worryingly emotional

I think it's 'worryingly emotional' to be 'worryingly emotional' about people being interested in and considering qualified opinions from experts. Calling that 'quickness' is kind of silly. Would we be 'too quick to take a fireman at their word' whenever they would talk about how quickly a building might burn down if our first instinct is to -- minding that this is a fireman who often offers their opinion and has only offered expert opinions backed by experience rather than providing deceptive claims -- trust a trustable source's opinion as a credible and valid view on the facts as presented?

You act like he's writing the news, when all he's doing is offering his opinion (based on his legal expertise) of what that news may mean, and explaining the criminal codes and investigative practices involved. You might disagree with his opinion on the summary, but the facts behind it are all public info. I mean, dude's tried 2000+ cases as a criminal defense attorney. You may not like his political leanings, but he's got the expertise here to make his legal summaries worthwhile.
abramson is to politics as leonard french is to video games both well informed attorneys in their respective fields and they can provide an accurate best-guess analysis that usually ends up being correct

This also establishes that Fusion GPS was hired by Republicans to do research on Trump, worked for them for nine months before Democrats took an interest, and found out much of Trump's ties to Russia while working for the GOP. This shatters the bullshit narrative pushed by Fox, Trump, and the GOP that Democrats paid for all this Fake News to be created. No fucking wodner they didn't want this transcript leaking. [editline]9th January 2018[/editline] Jfc it took less than 72 hours for this firm to discover Trump's links to Russian organized crime and Felix Slater. They found it, while contracted by the GOP, in their very first weekend of discovery research. If Trump was this fucking sloppy, I shudder to think what the FBI may have gathered on him in the last nine months.

And now we know what Paul Ryan was silencing when he allegedly made his infamous "that's how we know we're a family" remark in early 2016! I want to think that right now Trump is on the floor having a literal temper tantrum and shouting "fake news" incoherently. :v:
This seems like a pretty big deal. Can't wait to see how people spin it to make it not seem like a pretty big deal.
