I'm already excited for this. I hope religion is included in the base game this time around
I hope to hear an announcement of more Civ: BE DLC, because it's still missing the rounding-out that Civ V got with BNW. BE needs its own BNW, and I'm hoping that Firaxis didn't just dump it out the window after pushing Rising Tide out. That can all happen independent of the Civ 6 team, of course, so this isn't some sort of sign that BE's dead. It'll be interesting to see how VI is received when there's already a very well-established and still-active Civ V playerbase. Also $79.99 CDN on that preorder or $105 for the deluxe (due to exchange rates)? Wow. I love the Civ series but I'm not sure I love it that much. Especially since I've already paid for all the Civ V DLC individually (rather than hold out for post-BNW GOTY).

Looks like they made it more colorful and gave the graphics an upgrade, I hope its multiplayer works though
I cant wait! .. I honestly don't care about the graphic changes, I only play Hex grid Mode anyway
it's on steam now too what the fuck is up with that artstyle no
Oh god civ became a cartoon again [editline]11th May 2016[/editline] Unless they have some really neat systems and mod support I'm skipping it
I like the art style...
I hope mods work in multiplayer this time around. If not, they've fucked up the one improvement that was desperately needed across the board. Not sure I'm liking the art style, but the quality of the graphics is nice.
The music used in the release trailer is great, but my brain associates it to the SS13 video made by Aphtonites
So long as it builds on what BNW added by making culture and diplomacy victories more engaging and working to ensure the end game is still engaging that will be great!
Oh god civ became a cartoon again
The pine trees look cute though! As long as we're back to "pre historic ages -> future" instead of "Near future -> far future" I am interested.
Looks like a downgrade graphically from Civilization V, not wild about the cartoon artstyle.
Probably still developmental

Hopefully they fix the awful multiplayer connection issues that ruined games
I like the art style from those pics but I need to see it in motion before making judgement I think Also Sean Bean as narrator???
Let's hope that it has a robust feature set on launch this time, so that the expansions bring in truly new stuff. Also, hopefully they'll have a lot more distinct stuff in the endgame. 'cause after playing Civ 5 so many times, no matter what Civ I play it they always end up the same as they ease into the modern/future eras. I want Comanche Landships, goddamnit.
I kinda like the new artstyle, sets it apart from the previous entries. Can't wait to see some gameplay!
Not happy about this. The art style looks too immature like it's a game for kids. I'm also unhappy they're pushing out a new civ game before Beyond Earth is "finished". Dont get me wrong Rising Tide is nice and really fleshed BE out but it doesn't feel complete yet. At least not like Civ 5 felt after BNW. I'd love to see a better diplomacy system, more units, more lore & wonders, etc.
Purposefully going to forget about the game until the gold edition comes out, not going to fall for BE again
Awesome! Now the Civ 5 expansions will be cheap af so I can buy them all for 12 bucks and not play the new one for half a decade until it has the same amount of content.
Art style reminds me of those free to play facebook games.
Art style screams "optimized" so hopefully the 8 player turn 250 slowdown doesn't happen. But geez, didn't they just release Beyond Earth (for civ game standards)? Are they even done with DLC for it?
BE came out October 2014 [editline]11th May 2016[/editline] The art style reminds me of Age of empire
So XCOM became seriously un-cartoony and Civilization went in the opposite direction
Already hyped to be honest, not too sure about the artstyle but i'll wait untill I see it in motion [editline]11th May 2016[/editline] I'm liking the unit combining, diplomacy changes (although those are described very vaguely) and multi-tile cities though.

Are they even done with DLC for it?
BE released November 2014, Rising Tide released October 2015. Civ V released September 2010, G&K June 2012, BNW July 2013. I imagine work on Civ VI started around then, and BE was in the works from either 2010 or 2012 as a total conversion on the same engine. It's not actually that unexpected when you look at the development cycles, but it does come fairly close on BE's lukewarm reception so I'm sure everyone's going to read what they want into it. It's funny how unit combining is this too hot/too cold thing. In Civ IV, unit stacking was a way of life, and in the leadup to Civ V there were tons of people who were violently opposed to the one-combat-unit-per-tile change in V. I wasn't sure I was on-board with it myself. Once Civ V launched the complaining all but stopped as people actually got to play it and discovered that units not stacking meant you didn't have mega-armies that could turtle a billion units together and seige a city forever. And now stacking's coming back.
