Anyone and everyone can play Killing Floor now. Just pre-load the game, go to your steam folder, go to common/killingfloor/system, and run the .exe and you can play the game for free, right now. You can even add the .exe to your games list as a non-steam game to have a shortcut to launch it directly.

Well, the new maps aren't listed, so I guess not. But still, anyone can play it for free right now, and unless it self-destructs after the free weekend (which it wouldn't), then this little hack will probably work after the free weekend is over too, and with the new update.
That makes a ton of since.

It's working just fine for me.

They may be blocking multiplayer on accounts that don't actually own the game, I advise trying to make your own server and seeing if friends can connect. If not, then I guess you're stuck with singleplayer.
It appears to freeze up whenever I try to start a server to lan.
From what I've heard, you can't play MP with pre-loaded (but unpurchased) KF.
Yeah, you can see the servers and all, but can't join them.
Still you can play SP until the free weekend starts.
For some reason it refuses to let me preload.

Not really a hack. its more of ...opening a file and clicking an exe because They made it so damn easy.
