Looks like a ton of fun, apart from the awful awful music they chose for the trailer.
Is that Simon Pegg?
Is that Simon Pegg?
It is. He was in the third film too.

He's in the third one too. Ninja.
Ghost protocol? Nothing about this movie is under the radar.
I'm looking forward to this film.

He was?
Damn, I don't really remember anything about the third film.
The story sounds hilariously awful and cliche but it could be fun
Was tempted to make a thread buuut ran out of effort. You should've mentioned who the director is in the thread title, its what got me interested in the movie to begin with. Neat to see someone from Pixar attempt the switch to live action.
Some general information. I think it could be good.
Director:
Brad Bird
Written By:
J.J. Abrams
Andre Nemec
Josh Appelbaum

J.J. Abrams
Paula Wagner
Tom Cruise
Starring:
Tom Cruise

Tom is going for the long hair look again, and he still pulls it off well. :v:
Wa Wa Whaaaaaaaaa? Pixar?
Looking forward to i've been following on IMDB since it was a rumor! CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!
I like Tom Cruise films and Simon Pegg :buddy:
He was?

he was the inside man at the agency that was secretly helping cruise.
The first half of the trailer looks incredibly cheesy and unoriginal but then you forget everything about the first half when you see explosions and shit.

The director directed ratatouille and the incredibles. A lot more excited about this movie now.
what the fuck, j.j abrams writing the story ?
this could be pretty damn good.
This looks pretty good.

Getting official confirmation about that has been such a bitch. He didn't show up anywhere in the trailer though (right?) so I'm guessing he really is sitting this one out.

I'd doubt that.
Brad Bird will make this movie great
Iron Giant is the best film ever after all

That would suck, though, because he's as much a part of the series as Tom is, really.
Why would he decide to sit out now? The money's probably good and he's probably not the busiest guy in Hollywood.
I will see it just to support Brad Bird, dude graduated from my highschool, even saved one of our old local theaters from being torn down a couple years ago.
He is pretty much hero around these parts.
I clicked on this thread expecting to see something absolutely terrible and then I saw the names Brad Bird and J.J. Abrams.

That trailer still looks pretty dumb though...
I love it when you can't tell if a movie is going to be good or bad. It's usually pretty easy for me to tell nowadays.
This film is going to be stupid fun.
Also, fuck yeah, Brad Bird is one of the best directors pixar has.
Fun Fact: Tom Cruise did all his own stunts when running on the side of the building you see in the trailer.
Also this actually looks pretty good.
That was a really good trailer, as far as trailers go.
This was a really good movie
ahah cant wait to see this one finnish actor there
I want that BMW
i thought it was a great entertaining movie. although the ending did keep dragging on and on still good movie
