Pretty good video, though I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge that the ones in Ads are crafted to look that way. Shit, McDonald's even did a video on it.

Next time you order anything from a fast food chain, make sure you add "like it looked like in the comercials" so they know what you expect.

I actually tried this a few months ago at a Burger King and they muttered "bite me" as they went back to give the order. v:v:v
[editline]22:23[/editline]
it's worth noting that it came back looking like a regular burger
McDonalds always looks the same to me(I always order Big mac IF I go there) and it looks always good to me like in the ads.
Personal experience though
I've never had a mcdonalds burger that didn't look pretty similar to the advertised burger. Could just be over here though.
The chick at Wendys was hot.

I wish if you could tell EA/Ubisoft It doesn't look like in the commercial, make me a new one!
Of course the final product isn't gonna look as great as it does in the glamour shots. I thought this was obvious. The glamour shots aren't necessarily impossible, but one of the key components of a promotional picture is that they shift all the ingredients toward the camera so you can see what's inside the bun/shell/whatever. On a normal burger you won't see most of it because it's all under the bun. But it's still there, at least if the employees are doing their job and making the product up to spec.
The most important part, though, is that it tastes the same. It's the same food, regardless of how it looks. I personally feel that it's petty entitlement to expect a ~perfect burger~ every time. These people don't have the time, especially during busy hours, to stand there and fine-tune your fucking hamburger so that you can see all the pretty lettuce and ketchup from the outside of the burger. If I were the employees, I'd think this guy was kind of a jerk (though I wouldn't say it, of course).
By the way, most of the food he handed back was probably thrown out. If this isn't "#firstworldproblems" then I don't know what is.

It's only not the same when they put less stuff. On one of the burgers in the video you can clearly see how it's nearly empty inside.

I will admit that that particular burger looked atrocious. I couldn't even tell where the patty was.
I worked in a burger king for six months and the burgers actually tended to look quite a lot like they do in the adds, just maybe not as pretty. It's when they're left in the heated chute and the cheese + toppings begins to melt that they start to look like zombie burgers.
I'm too afraid of pissing off fast food restaurant employees to try this. Most FF jobs are easy to get and only pay minimum wage so there isn't that much keeping them from stealthily spitting in your food.
Is it me or does only assholes pull shit like this? I've never worked in fast food, but I can appreciate the fact that someone is slaving away on their feet all day in a hot greasy kitchen. I don't expect food that's shit for my health to be on par with Gordon Ramsay's Restaurants. Just give me my fucking burger and I'm happy.
I don't quite get the point of this guy's video, other than that people who ask to have their orders redone for shitty reasons are self-entitled assholes.
There are times where I can see this being a legitimate issue, like if the meat patties are way smaller than advertised or when the buns are like grey and stale, but if neatness is the perceived issue then of course you're going to be disappointed; it's fast food. In that sense, this whole "it doesn't look like the ad" fad seems kind of dumb.
On top of that, you can tell a couple of those managers are just seething. The mcdonald's seemed kind of busy, too; asking them to throw out your perfectly fine burger and pretty it up during peak hours is kind of a dick move.
all of my friends who work in fast food complain about customers who whine about every little imperfection with their burger. granted if it looked like absolute shit or they put mustard on when you ask no mustard you should be able to go back and request a new burger, but i see people who go back and ask for a new burger just because the patty and buns aren't lined up.
but i hardly ever complain, even when they put toppings i don't want on there, i just pick them off and eat it.
that and i don't trust the smiles of fast food workers
i know you're all miserable and spiteful to annoying customers
I hate every burger from fast foods they taste like shit, I would rather get the stuff I need from random shops in the city and make my own home made sandwitch.
Pizza restaurants like Little Caesar's and Domino's pay big bucks for food artists to come in and make their food look good. The pizzas in the ads are hardly even cooked. Most of the time, they place the cheese and the toppings, put it in the oven until the cheese starts to melt, throw on some additional toppings, and use a blowtorch to brown the crust and the toppings.
You get what's on the picture, but not like the picture if you know what I mean?
I'm not sure if this is just in a few select places, but, here in NYC, more and more McDonalds (and a few other fast food places) are starting to improve the quality (both in taste and aesthetic) of their meals. The burgers are actually starting to look prettier and taste juicier. I think I'm witnessing the dawn of a new age.
Reminds me of this scene from 'Falling Down'

The best looking burgers I ever got from McD's were the Angus burgers when they used to sell them. And at Burger King the Whoppers I've got have looked close to the ad like in the video.
Now, on the other hand, have any of you ever ordered a double/triple Baconator from Wendy's and you get a big greasy pile of hamburger, bacon, and cheese? It looks unhealthy as hell and I regret it when I finish eating it, but I always go back for another because they taste so damn good, and that's why I'm going to die young.

Honestly this misconception pisses me off a bit. I've worked quite a few fast food jobs and there was never a time when a worker just decided to spit in the food. I mean sure if you are a total asshat someone in the back might consider spitting in your food but this never happens at all.
It's surprising how nice they were about it. Maybe he talked with them before filming, I would not expect every restaurant to just make me a new pretty burger like that.

To be fair, I don't remember seeing "Culinary Artist" as a position in a fast food restaurant.
Wanted to see him go to In-N-Out.
meh, I actually like it more when it doesn't look like the AD.
the stuff in ads just looks so uneventful and dull
