They won't bring it up. It sounds like the gunman owned a farm and they will never take guns from farmers, protecting livestock and all that.

Fun fact: Farmers can use a firearm in a field surrounded by houses and a primary school, doesn't matter if peoples windows are level with whatever animal they are shooting. As I found out when I had to beg to not have my dogs head blown off whilst chasing lambs.
