Newest little piece I wrote, reminds me personally of Romanticism and maybe some early Impressionism.
If you like writing stuff like this, put about 80% of your work into melody and structure. Too many people only think vertically and get hung up on making pretty chords, which is a good way to make sure nobody remembers your piece. If you start with a memorable idea, the harmony is just trial and error.
