Tracy Morgan broke his silence Monday on TODAY over the car crash that nearly claimed his life, and paid emotional tribute to his late friend and mentor, comic James McNair.
The "30 Rock" star spoke to Matt Lauer exclusively, less than a week after settling a lawsuit against Walmart over the June 7, 2014 crash that killed McNair and left Morgan with debilitating injuries.
"The case is settled, but the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mac," Morgan said in his first interview since the deadly car crash.
"Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal."
I'm happy to see he's getting better.
He says his goal is to get back into comedy? I'm fuckin speechless, that takes some god damned will power right there.
iirc he hasn't watched the SNL special yet because he's been too sad to
i think the saddest thing is how heartbroken he is
i've never seen him be totally serious
God that hurt watching that, honestly did.
I hope he gets better in do time, I want him to make us laugh again.
What I think the saddest part is, that walmart has been a total fuckwitt about this whole thing. Denying things, blaming Morgan and the people in the car for not having seatbelts on? Real mature. Real good PR.

Basically this, it just drags you down with him...
Damn its gotta be rough. I can only imagine. It is quite the esteemed gesture of the Walmart CEO to personally apologize to him, face to face.
At least he can talk, geez. I was expecting him to be way worse.
