i was thinking about buying a better guitar than the one i already have (a crappy squier that has been sitting in a damp garage for over 4 1/2 years and i need a serious upgrade. I was thinking a guitar ~450 dollars, preferably used to reduce the cost, and most preferably american made.
if this is in the wrong section please refer me to the right section instead of going "AMGEE ROANG SEKSHION" and rating me boxes.
Craigslist, Ultimate Guitar and Harmony Central. Also it's fairly unlikely you'll get American for $450

Mexico is in America.
Get a mexican strat
thanks for the sites, but i do have to say that my guitar teacher got his american brand new for 500 let alone used. unfortunately the guitar model was discontinued, but i'm sure that a guitar for around my price range exists, though albeit hard to find.

I guess TECHNICALLY mexico is in america, but from what i hear the strats coming from there are crap in comparison to an american strat. Probably still better than a Asian guitar though.
I have a pretty big local genre. Lots of bands that I have friends in.
A lot of people are looking to sell their old guitars so they can buy new ones, if you have any friends who are in a band, hit them up asking.
My friends and I have swapped guitars back and forth quite a lot, some how we all seem to make money off it.
ok, i realize that getting an american brand guitar is pretty hopeless for my price range at this time. how is the DKMG for a jap guitar? it sounds really nice
at least IMO it does.
Chain of command is normally accepted as:
Company's home nation (UK, USA, Germany, Japan wherever) > Export Japan > Korea > Indonesia > China
well the companies home nation IS japan.

? seems like a steal, though something seems wrong. i dont think that any GOOD les paul would be going for anywhere NEAR there.
Jackson's an American company :v:
Vintage is a decent brand, not a lot of bad things I've heard said, very good for the price
oops, just noticed that :v:
ooh damn, my mind is set on what i'm going to get. i will need to save for some time, but http://cgi.ebay.com/2002-Gibson-Les-Paul-Studio-guitar-/320688442666?pt=Guitar&hash=item4aaa854d2a#ht_1401wt_1139 looks amazing
Les Pauls have this peculiar habit of always looking nice, no matter what paintjob it has.

i agree. that paintjob isn't my favorite, but it still does not look bad in the slightest.
something that frustrates me is how nice epiphones look, but how crappy they sound.
Agile guitars are really good from what I've heard. they're sold in america but i think the wooden parts are from korea
