My only REAL complaint about it was the amount of loading screens. Granted they only last 10-15 seconds depending where I'm going, but I just hate how there's one when you go NEXT DOOR. That's just silly. Why not load the entire lot/houses/furniture in them/etc on the initial load? Dunno. Performance, I guess, but maybe it should've been a toggable feature in my honest opinion. Other than that, I'm happy with it and have put in 30 hours already cause it just keeps me entertained with what there is to do.

Yeah I'll end up buying this eventually, but I'm not about to drop $60-$70 on it.
Yeah I'll end up buying this eventually, but I'm not about to drop $60-$70 on it.
If it was $20 tops, I'd consider it.

Sims 3 ran like shit on my PC because of the open world. Sims 4 runs so much better for me, however quite disappointed at town size. Wish there was an option to turn off/on open worlds similar to how the open world was in sims 3.

I think I'm not going to be able to handle many family units at once for this.
I played it for a bit. It's alright. Not $60 alright. $30 tops. It's definitely annoying hearing a dumb sound effect every time your Sims become uncomfortable though. It was alerting the first time, but it's just obnoxious.

Even my laptop can run Sims 3 with all addons on highest settings at rock stable 60FPS. It's not like the graphics are incredible either.
What fuckin dream world are you living in? You're gonna be waiting years for it to hit that price point.
i found the sims 3 in a bestbuy like 6 months after launch for 30 dollars.
I just wish it weren't so fucking cartoony. I mean, Sims 3 looked good, I bet the next game will be even closer to reality? Nnnnope
All the improved things look great, but i don't think they make up for the things they've removed. As usual it's a huge step backwards with most things, obviously they can't add everything from the expansions but they could at least have things like a basic weather system and then expand upon that later.

The removal of the open world thingy seems like such a huge step down. I guess I'll give it a try before I judge, but that's not a nice show either way.
The big question for Sims 4 seems to be, "do the additions and improvements make up for the loss of an open world?"
Does anyone know how fast your needs drain now? The needs in Sims 3 didn't seem to last very long. It was hard for me to do anything fun, because I had to constantly babysit the needs of my Sim.

After a whole day I always seem to have just a little less than half the energy bar left around midnight

As a bonus you can pretty much remove all the big needs including the need for sleep through aspirations, so it's not cheating technically.
Even though they added a lot in exchange for removing a lot, I can't help but wonder how good of a game it'd be if it kept all the great Sims 3 features, obviously open world, but also create-a-style and fucking pools and toddlers.

That's what I loved about sims 3.. Toddlers however, I always found them annoying. And I honestly never used pools.
