Psychopath Kills Kid at My School and His Ex Girlfriends Mom with an Axe

According to police, Burns was killed by 19-year-old Brian Douglas White, who previously dated Burns' 17-year-old girlfriend. Police said White also killed the girl’s mother, Angela Kim Staperfene, before he fatally shot himself.

Friends remembered Burns online as a wrestler, teammate and as one poster wrote, an “amazing person."

Meghan Morgan, 21, said her brother was close friends with Burns. She said Burns graduated in 2012 from Livonia’s Stevenson High School. Though she didn’t know him well, Morgan said Burns was a fun person to be around.
“Whenever I seen him, he was always really happy,” she said.

Officials from Livonia Public Schools could not be immediately reached for comment.

Livonia Mayor Jack Kirksey, who has been briefed by police, said today that police were wrapping up the case and had visited other relatives' homes to make sure no one else had been victimized.
“It’s basically finished, in terms of the investigation,” he said.

According to police, White went to his ex-girlfriend’s home in the 27000 block of Sunnydale Wednesday and used an ax to kill her mother and Burns. The teen was injured during a struggle with White, but survived and was treated for non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital. She was later released, police said.

White was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Kirksey said Wednesday that the killing appeared to have started about 7:30 a.m. He said that’s roughly when White is believed to have come to the home. Police believe the mother was killed first in a bedroom, Kirksey said.

Her daughter called 911 about 12:20 p.m., Kirksey said.

Friends left a candle and flowers near the home Wednesday night.

Nancy Radtke said Staperfene was a strong person.

“If Angie had anything to do with it to defend herself, I'm sure she went out in a blaze of glory," Radtke said. "She was a feisty person."
Radtke said her friend lived in the house for five to seven years and was married.

Staperfene had mentioned that her daughter was having trouble with an ex-boyfriend, Radtke said.
“Angie always wanted the best for her daughter,” she said

Another thing I heard is that the gun he used to kill himself was a shotgun.
My teachers were all in shock today over this, apparently a lot of them knew her, and most people say she was really nice.

Its really freaky having something so crazy happen so close to you. I feel really sorry for the girl, this has to be so traumatizing to her.[/TD]

I never said its okay, and to be honest it isnt okay in those circumstances either. Its always completely tasteless to make fun of murders. Just because you might not know them is no excuse, you might not be personally upset by the event in particular but its not okay to just trivialize the whole ordeal.
