Seriously, I don't get them. I haven't met a single dude who's ever been openly obsessed with a female celebrity, for instance.
Still, I knew a bunch of girls back when I was in high school - and a couple now, as an adult - who admitted they literally fantasize about scenarios involving them and their celebrity crush. Even worse, they sometimes suffered under some delusion that the object of their affections would be romantically interested in them if they ever were to meet.
Maybe I don't understand it because my interest in celebrities has only gone so far as Hmm, Avril Lavigne has pretty nice eyes, actually.
What really took the cake, though, was when I made the mistake of dating a girl that was clueless enough to bore me with her talk about just how cute she thinks Robert freaking Patterson is.
Anyone else share my opinion and bewilderment?
Instead of making a new thread about it, let's talk about how irritating women who enjoy playing "mind games" are, too. I'm attracted to women who are blunt and brutally honest. Dropping hints isn't going to get a rise out of me, whether I understand what they mean or not. If I'm not in love with the girl, or if I'm in a less-than-jovial mood, I can't be assed to bend over backwards to vindicate her, and typically pretend I'm completely oblivious just to frustrate her some more.
inb4 OP is a douchebag
Edit: Rate me disagrees if you think I'm a douchebag and agrees if you agree with me.
yeah whenever we mention a specific celeb (like justin bieber) my girlfriends like "OMG I LOVE HIM"
wtf
if you say you love emma watson (or whatever) they give you a really really dirty look
Usually girls talk about celebraty crushes because they feel that it's harmless because it's something that might never actually happen. They won't talk to you about a crush they have with someone you two mutually know.
Guys have fantasies about Celebrities, too.
You know, girls like to say how guys don't communicate. I've noticed guys are blunt, while girls like to talk in riddles.

Seems a bit hypocritical.

It's not so much the riddles that bother me, man. I'm a writer of sorts and I like that kind of thing. It's more the fact that sometimes when your girl has got a problem, she puts on some subtle act and expects you to notice and rush to her aid. When you don't, she gets angry.
How about trying "Honey, there's something I want to talk to you about,"?
A girl I know is infatuated with Megan Fox.

Keep her in the kitchen where she belongs so she doesn't think she's free to choose.

way to state the obvious
I was asked by a couple of female friends if I ever had a crush on a celebrity.
The only name that came into mind was Megan Fox and that I only found her attractive, but never had a crush on her.
They just stared at me as if I was some sort of a sicko or something. :c
Women...

Problem is, It's really hard to find a good looking girl, who's not a bitch, that has those qualities. They are a difficult find.
I don't have a crush on any celebrities, but one I find particularly hot is Christina Hendrix. Havn't really been asked that question in front of girl friends (I mean, friends that are girls) though I did hear lots of yammering about Robert Patterson, all the time :words:
I have always thought that the kind of girls who obsess over celebrities and are unrealistically attracted to them are retarded.
Like this one girl I know, for like three straight years has been saying she is going to marry that guy from the panic at the disco band.
It's fucking stupid because some of these girls really are infatuated with these people! At least when guys like a woman celebrity, it is mostly just for their sex appeal but we don't actually think we'd ever meet/MARRY them?!!

OH MY GOD, Olivia Wilde and her massive Skeletor cheek bones, ughgagh makes me WET!
You see, the differences when it comes to celebrity crushes is this:
Girls are obsessive when it comes to things, they like to be loud about it and giggle publicly.
Guys, on the other hand, are quieter about their interests and lock themselves in their rooms with their computers...
i have a mancrush on christian bale, christopher meloni, bruce campbell, edward norton and
actually when you put it that way i can see now how people would think i'm gay.

It's Robert Pattinson. If you're going to talk about him at least spell his name right. Gosh.

We will keep calling him Patterson in hopes that he suicides.
dude...guys have celebrity crushes too. Megan Fox, Halle Berry, that chick from Blade: Trinity. Fucking hot :flashfap:
Most of my friends are obsessed with Megan Fox
I don't like Megan Fox a whole lot. I mean yeah, she's kinda hot, but too glamorized.
All of my friend girls high five me when they ask me if I like Megan Fox and reply with a no.
I've seen countless men obsess over Megan Fox.

I'm the same way. I totally fucking hate feet and her thumb looking like a toe ultimately turns me off from her.
Hayley Williams :fappery:
While girls are dreaming about celebrities and their fantasies with them..
Aren't we guys always thinking how we are a secret agent that has been under cover for years, constantly thinking how we can escape a room if it becomes under a terror attack.
I some times can day dream for hours, to think how cool it would be to be able to jump 300ft in the air.
Just trying to say girls could find us being a bit odd.
