No, this was the first time one of them died. Hammond nearly died, but choose not to. They are of course often maimed, torn apart and otherwise damaged, but never really die.
It's a good thing they sell discount James May in that region.

It's hard to lose a Clarkson, because there is an entire island of them. James Mays are found in various places, usually the same places that sell Bovril. Richard Hammonds are hard to find, but that may be attributed to small size and secret affinity for American muscle cars.
