• How do crab's muscles work?

So I've been wondering for a while how crab's muscles work. You'd think they'd work like any other muscles, but their not physical tissue from what I understand. If you break open a crab before cooking it goo will just pour out. So are their muscles liquid? How does that work exactly? Help me Professor Facepunch!
hydraulics.
(taking a guess here) They're like regular muscles, except they're in an exosceleton Edit: It's apparently somewhere in between muscles and hydraulics

It was pretty good.

It gives them much better endurance than the clam.
They have a bunch if little wee crabs that run around and do stuff to make the muscles move. That goo is actually them.

They have normal muscles. And If you've ever eaten at red lobster they got those tendons. You can take a crab claw and eat out all the meat and pull the tendon to make the claw open or close. Crab arms are pretty much a hollow tube with pure muscle inside to pull the tendons. Trust me.
^ Don't trust this guy he's not from newfoundland There's only 4 of us on this island I know what the fuck is up
[QUOTE=Camundongo;18336841]Starfish aren't arthropods. I'm pretty sure I learned about this in 2nd grade through a presentation involving costumes and singing, my education was the shit.
