Now lawmakers want to make porn stars don more gear to keep them safe from infection from bodily fluids. If an updated draft of Bill AB 640 goes into effect eye protection would be required during filming sex scenes, according to the proposed legislation."
Sexy lab technicians and plastic-coated germaphobes may soon be the hot new ticket in porn. And not by kinky viewers' choice. The latest version of a California worker safety bill may require adult film actors to wear items like protective goggles while filming sex scenes, Salon reports. An updated draft of Bill AB 640 would not only prohibit state-wide performers from ejaculating onto the genitals, mouth or eyes, but require employers to provide "barrier protection" eyewear as well. Bill AB 640 is currently awaiting review in the senate. If approved it would require "personal protective equipment" to "prevent contact of an employee's eye; skin, mucous membranes, or genitals with the blood or OPIM-STI of another."
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/calif-law-porn-stars-don-goggles-sex-article-1.1512447 we should be more aware of our extremely dangerous semen men
I can't wait for gasmask pornos
Yeah um, okay. This is really, really stupid. People do most of this shit anyway without anything, so why does a camera make a difference?
"gonna bone some dude on camera, better put on the riot gear"
This is just some troll lawyer hoping to get shutup/go away money from some Porn agency, nothing more.
this is going to have some fucking funny results so... yeah :v:
I can't wait for gasmask pornos
We'd finally be of use to something!
They'll just film in a different state
Yeah um, okay. This is really, really stupid. [editline]11th November 2013[/editline]
They'll just film in a different state
Its like they're trying to kill an industry.
That title made my eyes dead
I'm beginning to think this nonsense is all coming from some moral busybody who wants to ban porn in the state. There's no fucking way anybody else would think that driving a huge business out of your state is a good idea.
I can't wait for gasmask pornos
Now even Facepunch has a chance in the porn industry!
That's one of my fetishes.
That's one of my fetishes.
Seems like it's the fetish of those that wrote up this law too.
I can't wait for gasmask pornos
Already exists, just hope you're into BDSM and/or Breathplay.
This bill will literally kill jobs.
They'll just film in a different state
California is the only state it's legal to film and produce porn, while it might be technically legal in certain other states but the laws make it very difficult. The authorities will usually consider it prostitution or use some other law to warrant arrest.

They can probably get around this. Every pornographic films plot would start with them getting out of a pool.
Better regulate off camera sex too.
Hey now guys, semen can sting pretty bad when it gets in your eye.

Is there some historical reason for this? I mean it seems pretty crazy
How is it possible that only california allows porn production? Is there some historical reason for this? I mean it seems pretty crazy
Well, I wasn't entirely right. The other state is new hampshire. In response to your question, beats me really. I think it's really just families getting upset about it, one notable situation was when Kink moved into the san francisco armory that caused a public outburst.
i didn't realise my dick shot face melting semen.... oh wait, it doesn't. so why do u need lab-grade eye protection......... ON THE GOOD NEWS, steampunk steamporn will probably become more popular
Gonna turn into some S.T.A.L.K.E.R. level porn soon. Sounds kinky.
They probably wouldn't bother if vanilla porn scenes didn't almost always end with a facial.
Use protection kids!
it won't pass

But with that being said I still think this bill is stupid.

If California goes really crazy then I guarantee we'll see more reforms in that area. And since it's usually on prostitution charges, what about Nevada?
