RUBBER is the story of Robert, an inanimate tire that has been abandoned in the desert, and suddenly and inexplicably comes to life. As Robert roams the bleak landscape, he discovers that he possesses terrifying telepathic powers that give him the ability to destroy anything he wishes without having to move. At first content to prey on small desert creatures and various discarded objects, his attention soon turns to humans, especially a beautiful and mysterious woman who crosses his path. Leaving a swath of destruction across the desert landscape, Robert becomes a chaotic force to be reckoned with, and truly a movie villain for the ages. Directed by legendary electro musician Quentin Dupieux (Steak, Nonfilm), aka Mr. Oizo, RUBBER is a smart, funny and wholly original tribute to the cinematic concept of "no reason."
Anyone else plan on renting this?
Holy shit what the fuck?
Definitely watching this.
Any idea on release date?
Sometime in April I think
a coworker of mine said she'd seen it at a film festival
so fucking jealous
what the fuck
Holy shit now Im scared a tire will come into my room and blow my head off
Mr.Oizo is doing the soundtrack? Awesome.
Damnit, the theater closest is Austin, Texas but I live in Dallas. I hope it has a small DVD release or something, I want to see this.
BTW Mr.Oizo is the actual director of this.
If it comes to a theater nearby my house, I'm so going to see it with some friends.
hopefully not one of those weird but interesting one-off things like moon
but moon was supposed to be a trilogy, wasn't it?
this looks fucking awesome
Seems like it was initially a book
There needs to be shirts of this. Simple design.
I can't imagine how they pitched this idea at some meeting.
"Okay, so get this: There's a tire in the middle of the desert... that comes to life. Also it's telepathic."

I need to watch this. I don't really know how, though, I doubt it's going to be shown anywhere available to me.
