[release]A generic Republican candidate now holds an eight-point advantage over President Obama in a hypothetical Election 2012 matchup for the week ending Sunday, December 4. This is the largest gap measured between the two since early September. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds the generic Republican earning 49% support to Obama's 41%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and seven percent (7%) are undecided.[/release] [url=http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2012/election_2012_presidential_election/generic_presidential_ballot/election_2012_generic_presidential_ballot]Source[/url]
uh, Republican's means all the candidates vs. Obama. If one Rebulican doesn't win, that doesn't mean they will vote for another republican necessarily.
pretty tight squeeze. Tight feels good.

God damnit if one of the republican candidates get elected, I'm going to be pissed. It's not just because I'm not a huge fan of republicans, it's because the candidates this year are especially retarded.
RON PAUL [editline]8th December 2011[/editline] wait his own party hates him, fuck
God help us if a conservative wins and turns back everything Obama has done, Don't Ask Don't Tell, Healthcare bill, Fairly non-confrontational foreign policy

That's what current politics does to our country.
Jesus I hope none of those republicans win. They all seem to be extreme in their views
I'm scared, unless Obama's going against Bachmann. That's handing Obama a second term.
Isn't Obama's campaign strategy just showing commercials of the idiotic things the Republicans have done?
I'm confused, what is "generic republican"? Did they literally ask "would you vote for Obama or a generic republican?"
I will personally burn my house down and move to Canada
If that homophobe Rick Perry gets elected I'm going to tag SO MANY DICKS on his property.
The Obama numbers are actually surprisingly high. No one is focusing too much on his bid for reelection because all eyes are on the republican debates and Obama hasn't begun campaigning yet. Once a Republican is chosen Obama's numbers will likely go up because he'll start campaigning more.
Like I've been saying, anyone could be running against Obama and they would have a good chance at winning. It is not because Obama has not been doing a good job; in fact, he has done more than most presidents do in their first 3 years. Obama is going to have a tough time winning because of that pesky high unemployment rate and slow growth. If Europe's future recession causes further stagnation in the US, Obama will have no chances of winning against anyone.
:suicide:

Incumbents are very hard to vote out of office.
oh god if ANY of the possible republican candidates get into office that will be fucked
so 2012 really is the end

There are more Republicans in the House than there have been since the 40s and Americans hate the current Congress, maybe that should tell them something.
