• Explanation of the Solution to P.T.'s Final Puzzle

The final puzzle in P.T. is far too complicated for normal human beings to solve, but this video at least makes it interesting. If the solution is actually this in-depth, I've gotta give props to Kojima, even if actually solving the puzzle basically comes down to luck. The question is, did he try any other words? It could react to anything being said in the microphone. But if it only reacts to Jarith, then damn that's a fucking cool puzzle.
I think he must have, considering the research that went into this.
God damn, P.T looks so cool but I never have the balls to play these kinda games
Pretty dang clever of the guy to figure it out. I wish there was a way I could read about P.T.'s story though, I don't own a PS4 and I'm too chickenshit to watch it, plus it plays randomly so I dunno how much story i could get out of it.
My friend got me to play it on his ps3 and I got through to the last part by constantly looking for that first roach you see in the game. I then took issue with the baby lying unattended and set out to look for the parent, how irresponsible!
I do remember watching someone play it and trying to shout 'Lisa' into the mic repeatedly with no success for a good ten minutes, but they might not have had the other prerequisites met either.

I find it difficult to believe that the PS4's software is that good at voice recognition to recognize "Jareth" specifically. Sure the Kinect is a thing, and the PS4 camera, (which most playing P.T. I don't think even own), can also do voice commands. However, these technologies are still far from perfect. When people give a voice command they speak the command loud and clear. If they whisper it the way "Jareth" is whispered in this video, the tech does not respond very well. Furthermore, the mic that is included with the PS4 is nowhere near good enough quality for using voice commands effectively. That said, it is plausible that you have to say something into the mic. It problably just doesn't matter.
The guy's saying people aren't able to solve it 'regularly'. Which isn't true. There was a post on neogaf with steps posted a week or so ago, which I followed and beat it right away. Every post following that post was a resounding 'yep! this worked!' [editline]28th August 2014[/editline] The second baby laugh is triggered by standing in the location of a previous haunting during the next haunting. Every time. This will work [editline]28th August 2014[/editline] [QUOTE=KINGSTAR998;45823690]I find it difficult to believe that the PS4's software is that good at voice recognition to recognize "Jareth" specifically. Unfortunately it happened first [editline]28th August 2014[/editline] I didn't whisper jareth. my brother and i just talked casually while the mic was plugged in and we got the phone to ring. and re replicated it time and time again with the steps from neogaf. jareth has nothing to do with it [editline]28th August 2014[/editline] notice every time he said 'jareth' he was standing in a haunting location (first corridor, front door, window)
If this comes out on PC too. I will be a happy man.
I hope the actual game has just as many secrets.

[QUOTE=booster;45825605]I hope the actual game has just as many secrets.[/QUOTE] Its fun as an extra but i dont want to be trawling across the internet for answers and clues in order to progress. Fun and interesting extras go right ahead but stopping me because i dont know jarith from the bible would have sucked. Thankfully its not needed though.
Also this is Kojimas style in making teasers etc. So such puzzles will not be in the game because progression of the game will be impossible for the majority of the people.

Yeah man in silent hill 3 the first puzzle at the book store was a PAIN in the ass. This sounds good enough to me.
