Just threw this track together over the last couple of hours, wanted to see what kind of effects I could achieve with Amplitube. Recorded with a Carvin DC727 Stock Pups -> Amplitube -> LeCab w/ Orange Impulse -> Reaper. Nothing else, I just made use of reversing takes to add that extra 'buildup' sound to it.
Feel free to critique it, I know it's somewhat repetitive but I wasn't really trying to write anything complex, just soothing. :v:
Also, anyone else have any similar songs they have written? Let's hear em!
Woah. This is awesome. I really like the chords, they have this really nice evolving nature. I'm guessing this was played on guitar? I feel like it needs to add something in the second half, but I'm worried that if you did, it would stick out too much.
Really nice though. Sounds like it would be the last track on a post-rock album or something.
It's simply beautiful. Nice work

Yep, entirely on guitar. What I did for that 'evolving' sound is I set my tone knob to 0 before hitting each chord, then as the chords rang out, I slowly increased the tone back to 10, then reset it back to 0 before the next chord.
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
I think they call that violining. Cool stuff :)
This is making me feel better. Great stuff. Thanks man.
All I can say is.. more.
If I didn't know better I'd have thought this was professional work already on an album that I've missed
this is awesome
would do to be a bit more gradual with the notes, though
