Conditioning someone from birth using indoctrination is brainwashing.
They don't really have to convince her it's truth, they just need to put her in a position where she thinks it's more beneficial to comply; but, given the age, it's more likely that she grew up in a radical family that told her this was 'meaningful' for quite some time.
