Hey Y'all!
I have recently released my first feature film TRUTH for free on YouTube!
IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1921152/
Our Budget was $20,000 and we shot it in just 25 days. It's not perfect, I made a LOT of mistakes, but I think our talented editor did a good job sifting through the crud.
I'd love to hear what y'all think! Feel free to rip it apart, praise my genius, or burn it to the ground.
Synopsis:
This sexy, scary horror movie tells the story of an estranged couple on a vacation that are pushed apart when the wife, Becca (Michelle Sabiene), becomes romantically fascinated with the journal of the cabin's long-dead former owner. When the ghost of the old owner (Michel Duran) appears and returns Becca's feelings, the web of sex, betrayal, and lies between Becca and her husband begins to unravel.

That was literally one of the worst things I have ever watched.
web of sex, betrayal, and lies
That sounds very familiar to me, have I heard that before somewhere?
I really really hate the colour tinting. It's so unnecessary in most situations.

Hahaha, you're not the first person to say that! If you have an IMDB account feel free to login and voice your hate on our page here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1921152/
Thanks for checking it out! ... and I hope it didn't ruin your day too much!

I've also heard that a few times, which was surprising to me. I thought people really digged the desaturated look. I originally wanted to make the film Black and White, but the other two producers said "it's too artsy as it is. If you make it black and white no one will watch it!" So I desaturated it to almost sepia in many places to maintain that style I was going for. I agree it failed in some parts. Anywho, thanks for checking it out and your feedback!
A second tip: lots of people(including me) complain that the movie drags on for too long.
I like slow movies but I gota agree with this.
Go watch Stalker. It's a LONGASS movie but it doesn't drag. And that's because it doesn't use slowness to create moods but rather uses moods and emphasizes them by slowness, same with many Korean movies.
In this, very unnecessary stuff gets dragged on for too long while tense moments could've benefited from a few more changes to other perspectives with the same scene.

Also your synopsis is totally generic and already puts people off.
yep terrible synopsis, read "scary sexy horror movie" and was like "nope"
sounds lame as fuck from that alone

Hahaha, yes It does drag. You'll shit your pants when you learn that the original cut was 3 hours long! We cut a bunch of scene, the original opening, the original ending, and even an entire character just to get it down to an hour and a half!
Although I very much appreciate my film being mentioned in the same post as Stalker I don't think it's super constructive to compare a low budget freshman film to mid career Tarkovsky.
I am very happy with the fact that I created a boring film, I personally enjoy it, and I enjoy watching other people squirm whilst watching it! And Besides; not every movie needs to be entertaining!
Thanks again Killuah for checking it out and giving me a bunch of notes!

This is great feedback! I really liked the synopsis and so did my team, so this is very helpful to hear. I'll have to work on writing something better.
Thanks again for all the feedback y'all! I was surprised no one commented on the sex scene..... If you are at all interested we just released the Trailer for one of our next features, it's called "April|". I produced it and the writer of "Truth" directed it. I'd love to hear your feedback on it as well; good, bad, or terrible, I don't care!
Synopsis:
A young man from the future arrives in present day intent on unravelling the mystery of his mother's suicide. A shut-in from a dystopian future, he falls in with a group of friends as they embark on a night of fun, violence, adventure, and romance through the streets and alleys of the city.
