For many, a supercar is the purchase of a lifetime. But very few of us have hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend on a Ferrari or Lamborghini. A Chinese farmer found a way to make his dream come true by building a Lambo on his own.
Avid mechanic Wang Jian, the 28-year-old son of a farmer from China's eastern Jiangsu province, built his dream ride out of two old cars – a Nissan and a Volkswagen.
It took quite a bit of time and effort, but the results were rather impressive: For around $9500, Jian built himself a custom-made replica of a 2007 Lamborghini Reventon.
You’ll probably never see the genuine article speeding down the road, since there are only 21 Reventons in existence, valued at up to $1.5 million each.
The replica hasn’t been completed yet, the Daily Mail reported – the vehicle is still missing headlights and windows. But the car is otherwise ready to hit the road, and can hit speeds of up to 250kph.
“I've always loved sports cars since I was a child,” Jian told The Daily Telegraph. “After growing up, I thought of making my own… When I had the right circumstances and the time, I assembled it myself and realized my dream.”
From a distance it looks okay with the sharp edges but close up...well....
Wat
Doesn't look much like the real thing but the fact that he built it is impressive enough.
I hope he has a sick exhaust on that bad boy
It looks more like a batmobile of some kind :v:
he needs a new set of tires and rims and he's good-to-go

not sure about the speed though :v:
I want him to build me a tank

He should add some glossy spraypaint, smooth it out more and work on the details. Adding some rear-view mirrors, better rims and windows, for instance. It wouldn't look perfect, of course, but I'm pretty sure they'd add to the illusion.
Other than that he did a pretty decent job.
EDIT: Goddamn ninja!

In The Dark Knight the fancy car that Bruce drives late in is a Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini then?
Much more subtle.
Those Chinese will fake anything, won't they

Any vehicle that's low & aerodynamic, sharp, crude and black matte would.
It looks like he used a hammer to beat the panels out of other car panels.
I like it how it is. It has character.
I smell a lawsuit.
If they actually do sue him, they're real dicks.
Why u no post in AA?

it looks fucking awesome
it's like what an MI6 agent would drive in the post apocalyptic future
Then as a PR stunt, the man is given a free Lambo

Even a used lambo from their inventory would be awesome of them, just hope it doesn't get stolen or hit by a scooter.

I like this guy though, he didn't rip anything off just to make a buck, he built a replica because of his passion for the real thing.

The details are exaggerated, but it looks like better build quality than the OP.
I gotta say, it looks pretty cool.
