[PW] ProWaffle vs. A Zombie - "What's that in the sky?" - General

As discussed. [img]http://www.cubeupload.com/files/24f000wafflevzombie.png[/img] It's a normal day at the Alpha Site of planet P3X-257 (better known as Varledor by its inhabitants). The scientists are working on the Stargate superconductors, nuclear reactor, satellite dish and other important systems. The head scientist heads up on the elevator platform to inspect the missile pods. There are hopeful rumours being spread around the base that the broken tunnel won't have to be fixed by anyone in the base, but instead, workers from Stargate Command on Earth will arrive to do their work. The scientist checking the Stargate makes plans in his head to explore some of the planet in his Puddle Jumper.

Gasp! What could it be?!

The others continue their work, and the head scientist continues up on the elevator platform. An explosion is heard in the distance. Panic washes like a tsunami over the base, until the scientist by the radio dish makes an announcement. "It's okay, just something entering the planet's atmoshpere. Probably a piece of a meteor, judging by the average size the computer's sound calculations are giving me... if it's a problem, we can shoot it down."

The Gate Room scientist climbs on the elevator, going up a level to talk to the technician. There is a lot of radio chatter. "I can see it! It's coming down, it's crashing! We're going to die!" "No, shut up. It's a piece of a meteor, and judging by the trajectory, it's not going to hit us. Even if it did, it'd only cause a tiny dent."

"Attention all personnel: raise alert level to 1. We're detecting unusually high energy signatures from the object, it could be a Replicator or some sort of new Ori form."

I'll dial Earth to show you. Some of us are due back for a checkup with the doctors, so it's good timing. Chevron one encoded!" The atomic scanners contained within the base's core begin to read new objects being produced out of seemingly nowhere. [b]"NEW ATOMIC STRUCTURE DETECTED - UNKNOWN PLANT MATTER. PROBABILITY OF DANGER: MEDIUM TO HIGH. CAUTION SUGGESTED."[/b]

Un-natural growth detected." "Put the base on high alert! This could be some sort of weird new Replicator weapon. God, if it roots itself it could tear this place apart. I want someone to go through the gate and request SG-23 to come and inspect. If they come here and don't return, they'll have to send in some marines."

"It appears to be... moss. It's coming from the place where the object landed. Jeff, I want you to go through the gate. Ask for SG-23, they're the experts on this type of stuff. Tell them... if we request, or if SG-23 doesn't return within two hours... send in the combat unit."
