"Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg says drug users should be given treatment rather than being sent to jail.
His party will vow to scrap prison sentences for possession in its 2015 general election manifesto.
Even those caught with Class A substances such as heroin or cocaine would be spared jail under the plan, which is not coalition policy.
Mr Clegg denied he had gone "soft" on drugs adding he did not want to see them decriminalised."

Still think decriminalisation is preferable, but this is a big step forward
Ah, so here he is again, attempting to surge out of his obscurity to perform damage control for how he absolutely shattered any hopes the lib dems had of being voted in, ever.
He's a prized cock.
A prized cock willing to further drug tolerance, that's okay in my book
How much we betting that he'll abandon it as soon as they go into the next coalition?
Clegg has supported liberalised drug policies for ages and says stuff like this all the time

He's a spineless bastard, and as much as I'd love to see it, he's not the person who'll do it.
A step in the right direction. I think some drugs should be decriminalized entirely, i.e canabis, lsd... But I think most class A drugs should stay illegal.
Okay Clegg, whatever you say.

Meh
It's a shame just about everything else he says and does is utter shit.
The only positive thing I can remotely say about Eggy Weggy Cleggy Beggy is the fact that he's at the very least an actual humanoid figure rather than Humpty Dumpty wrapped up in a thin veneer of skin and pork perched atop a human skeletal system like DavidDroid Cameronbonce is.
That's not saying much though, because said humanoid figure is full of shit.
Yeah this is a step in the right direction, so why has it taken so long for a politician to do something like this? Though it may still may not be decriminalization it is a step in the right direction.
