• Jim Sterling's Review of the Developer's Review of Jim Sterling's "Review"

**TL:DW** Jim Sterling played this shitty FPS for 10 minutes. Developer reuploads it with text acting like a stupid child, and then jim sterling reuploads his with commentary on how ridiculous it is. First, the original video. Then, the developer's review. And then Jim's review of the developers review.
This always happens with shit games Jim looks at. Just another day at the office for both him and game developers who cry when their game gets called shit than starts censoring what they can. [sp]and it always backfires, than we grab popcorn while the devs run around like chickens with their heads cut off.[/sp]
And as usual, the dev is removing negative reviews and banning people on the forums When will those people learn When will Steam stop allowing this kinda garbage to be sold
I love how the game is so bad it has that "satirically horrible game parody" some games/shows/movies display like gta5's Righteous Slaughter 7. Only instead of being a joke, it's just fucking AWFUL.

So, this developer promised a free steam key to whoever Thumbs up their greenlight page and joined their group. the game got greenlit and they apparently only gave away 4k keys.
This might be the best developer meltdown yet. When will people learn that if you can't take criticism then game design is the WROOOOOOOONG field for you.
I'm still really impressed that Paranautical Activity dev managed to get his game pulled off steam/banned from publishing games on steam when shit like Infestation and this stay up for sale just fine.
Devil's advocate here, but the dev review raises a fair few points. He didn't explain anything about the game, show menu options etc. Sure it's a shit game, but Jim Sterling's 'review' isn't too great either.

Also, I haven't watched Jim's response review yet so don't quote me

At 8:46 the text says "...I haven't actually said anything remotely close to a statement you would find in a review." Maybe if there are no statements in the video that you would find in a review, then MAYBE, but just maybe, it's because it is not a fucking review? I thought that doesn't take a genious to figure out.
lol oh my god what is he doing The dev is just copy pasting the same reply, this dude didn't even mention a bugged plane, that was somebody else WHAT ARE YOU DOING
ninjad trash like this is why i dont like the idea of steam opening up more and more. developers should be banned from promising game keys to people who get them greenlit, because it just causes people to blindly vote yes as they get a free game out of it regardless of how much of a scam it is. looks like the developers are backpedaling on this, either that or just doing it to try and get more attention through jim's channel, and sad thing is its probably working. people shouldnt even buy games like this as a joke, its just enabling them more.

I can't believe the dev actually criticised him for leaving the in-game music on As if it's Jim's fault you can barely hear events happening and other sound effects over the BGM.
I also like how the "Review the Reviewers" youtube account can't seem to tell who's insulting them and who isn't.

This is like shitting on Totalbiscuit's WTF is and saying it's a bad review It's a first impressions, not a review I really hope this guy will get his shit removed I mean, he's forging good feedback, that's reason enough right?
tbh jim's review sucked ass and he really had zero objectivity i mean this game is 500000x more fleshed out and playable than most of the games that end up through greenlight and he titles the video "new worst game of 2014"? what a knobhead [editline]2nd November 2014[/editline] even if it isn't a review you can at least acknowledge that fact, especially if you self-title yourself as the main player of greenlit games
Holy shit, This dev stole someone's artwork as well. I just send a few emails out to the artist explaining that his art was being sold for profit by someone else. Seems like the dev got wise and removed the art work from the store page but it's still used in a video and the loading screens. EDIT: I did some digging on the dev after someone mentioned on deleted thread in the steam community that the style matches a game that is in early access. It turns out it's by the same team. The game this person was talking about: http://store.steampowered.com/app/314700 Claims it's from a two man team: A dude and his brother. The developer's site http://www.digitalhomicide.net/home.html
This might be the best developer meltdown yet.
I find it difficult to accept that when we have Phil Fish's twitter bonanza or the guy from Paranautical Activity being a gigantic manchild.
Is it me or this game looks like one of those generic videogames you always see being played in the background or directly by a character in various shows you see like on CBS or something.
The game isn't on the front page anymore.
I find it difficult to accept that when we have Phil Fish's twitter bonanza or the guy from Paranautical Activity being a gigantic manchild.
I'm actually not familiar with Paranautical Activity. The main incidents I can recall are the Guise of the Wolf devs sending those hilarious emails to TB and Garry's Incident devs censoring reviews.
