US Evacuates Staff, Orders Americans to Leave Yemen 'Immediately'
The U.S. State Department has ordered the evacuation of all non-essential personnel from Yemen because of an increased terror threat. A U.S. military cargo plane assisted with the evacuation early this morning, U.S. officials told ABC News.
"We are concerned about a threat stream indicating the potential for terrorist attacks against U.S. persons or facilities overseas, especially emanating from the Arabian Peninsula," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a statement. "The Department is taking appropriate steps to protect our employees, including local employees and visitors to our facilities."
The order includes a reduction of emergency staff from the embassy as well, although a small number of emergency staff will stay. The U.S. ambassador to Yemen, Gerald Feierstein, is in Washington.
Pentagon press secretary George Little confirmed in a statement that the Defense Department will continue "to have personnel on the ground in Yemen to support the U.S. State Department and monitor the security situation."
The State Department today urged Americans in the country to "leave immediately" because of the "continued potential for terrorist attacks."

Fuck, they seem really wary about something going on, I hope they are able to thwart this master plan their so cautious of.
Interesting, I'm curious to see what develops of this, they really do seem to think something's going on
I wonder what the US citizens who are in US suppose today if they can't leave.

"I wonder what the other US Citizens there who can't leave due to work, family, financial or other issues are supposed to do."
What are they expecting a nuclear attack or something?
our best scientists are still working on trying to figure out what the fuck you just said.
I wonder - Subject expresses intrigue
what the US citizens - the indirect object of the sentence said by the subject
who are in US - part of the indirect object?
suppose - the verb
today - temporal context
if they can't leave. - conditional clause; seemingly unrelated to the indirect object?
From this, I can only draw the following conclusion: Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
I wonder what the US citizens who are in the US are supposed to do if they can't leave?
agreed. next week they're going to get obama to come out and say "look at all the terrorism the NSA stopped last week!"
I wonder what the US citizens who are in US suppose today if they can't leave.
I propose those who suppose that Americans who are supposed to be in Yemen, but are now supposed to return to America, should, should make clearer sentences.
Just mill over it for a while it'll work
Terrible, though I can't help but think how oddly convenient the appearance of this threat, apparently detected through communications monitoring, is.

I'm a little confused about these accusations being thrown around that these are fake warnings to justify the NSA spying on American citizens.
I don't like that either, but none of these communications they've intercepted hinting at a possible terror plot have been domestic. They're intercepting suspect calls from the Middle East, which is something we've been doing since before 9/11 and kicked it into overdrive after, we never stopped and it's nothing new.

I wish I was in Yemen so I could be emergency evacuated by a military cargo plane.
Oh man, I wish I could see those intel papers from which the "imminent danger" conclusion is drawn.
no it's the jews.
Its the lizard people
Since they are doing all this publicly, do they really assume the terrorists won't notice and will continue with their plans? They want to inflict terror by being unexpected and devastating.
Its the lizard people
What if ~plot twist~ the US is the jews and we're all lizard people?
If I was a terrorists I would work my absolute hardest to keep chatter and planning at an all time high. Constantly be spitting out different plans and ideas, but only have 1 of them be the real deal.
As much as I'd like to believe it's a fake threat, I doubt it. Evacuating most of your personnel from a country is a pretty long way to go just to fake a threat.
;41740310']If I was a terrorists I would work my absolute hardest to keep chatter and planning at an all time high. Constantly be spitting out different plans and ideas, but only have 1 of them be the real deal.
They do do that, though often not on purpose.
They do do that, though often not on purpose.
The trick would be to do it so heavily any real plan is almost impossible to track.
Have 100 different plans appear to be in the works (actual back and forth communication between leaders, planning, ect.)
The government can't react to all of them.
;41740414']The government can't react to all of them.
No, they just react to one of them, using the intercepted communications to figure out where they are. Then the would-be terrorists get a rude surprise from a SWAT team or Hellfire strike, depending on the context.
When major cells take the risk of talking to each other it's a sign that something serious is going down.
