It is hoped the new model, which could make its debut in 2017 and is described as a ‘super athlete’, will double the iconic company’s sales.
Lamborghini said at the time the Urus could be the fastest SUV in the field with 600 horsepower, as well as being one of the lightest thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre.
Lamborghini claims the Urus will offer the lowest CO2 figure of all comparable SUVs, because it is a hybrid.

The urus is nothing new, but goddamn, 600hp
It will still be expensive as fuck.
Moving on.

That's the point? If you want cheaper sports cars, you go Porsche.
That back end was chiseled by Michelangelo himself.
Am I the only one who thinks it's ugly?
urus sounds like something that should be coming out of an infected wound
I just realized, I won't be able to hear Jeremy Clarkon's superior opinions on the subject anymore.
Also it looks like they took a cheap sportscar, put it on a slant, and gave it bigger wheels.
Looks like the EDF vehicles from Red Faction Guerilla
Looks like it's got a lot more emphasis on the sport part than the utility part
Can't wait to drive it in the next Need for Speed

Do you think a millionaire who is going to buy a 6 or 7 figure SUV is really going to care about the utility part?
I would have liked to say thank god Lamborghini decided to diversify and not have all of their eggs in one basket regarding their cars, but apparently they made another SUV called the LM0002 back in the 80s and 90s. The more you know.

It's a super car kit and engine being given to the VW/Audi/Porsche Crossover platform. A lot of the concept they're using seems to have already been tested under the Porsche Macan, they're just adding more Dakka.

Porsche? Cheap?

If you can afford a ~$200,000 SUV, your boat is too big to be towed. :v:
Porsche? Cheap?
At 50-90k for their base models, it's cheap in comparison and entry level for the high end sports car market.
it won't be CO2 efficient when it sets on fire
holy shit the massive lambo face on that looks ridiculous lmao
i think it looks pretty sick, in a dumb way
it's like a hot wheels car

That's what Lamborghinis are. Absolutely childish.

nah, miatas and mr2s and such fill the cheap sports car gap. unless you're a total loser and buy a boxster then you could have gotten something like a viper for the same money

the idea behind lamborghini and supercars in general is that they look like they've been designed by a 10 year old boy. the only exception I can think of is the bugatti veyron which looks like it was designed by the child of dr. dre and an aerodynamicist
I'd prefer if it were a sedan like the Maseratti Quattroporte. They had ideas for one some time ago but scrapped it.
I'll just have to wait for the pictures of the actual car and see how it's like.

That only applies to the US though. Vipers anywhere other than the US are always like 2 to 3 times more expensive than a used boxster.
And agreed. I hate how people always diss on lambos because of being "overdesigned". They are meant to look like a Hot Wheels, and I don't say this as a joke.
What is going on with those rear view mirrors? Is that a mirror for ants? Or just a camera facing backwards?

Rear view for ants is a Lambo tradition.

Article says camera
I wonder what the build quality is going to be like. I have a friend who runs a major wheel repair shop here and quite often I just hang around the shop having a chat. One day he has this client drop in his Porsche Cayenne Gemballa Turbo bla bla bla - ugly as sin but more expensive and exotic than most things on the road here (these things are like half a million dollars here). The kind of vehicle you're scared to even touch, you know? Anyway, it's sitting out in the lot while he finished some work, he chucks me the keys and asks me to drive it in and onto the lift... Nice.
I get in this thing and holy shit... EVERYTHING RATTLES. The car had like 30,000kms on it and I swear, everything was cheap shitty plastic and carbon fiber and it rattled and knocked and felt so incredibly flimsy as if it were a 300,000km car. It felt like I'd hopped into a $10,000 second hand Mazda or something. The sad thing is, this is something I've noticed across a lot of top of the line SUV's - I don't get it (X5/X6's, Lambos, you name it, I've been in most of them at this point). Even the doors rattled and made all sorts of noise when you shut them, and this was a babied car. This thing;

Also rear view mirrors are overrated. The rear view mirror on my XJ Cherokee always brakes off, it's ridiculous. It took out a piece of the windscreen with it recently so I just fuck it, it can stay on the floor. Thing is, with good side mirrors and a driver that knows how to turn their head even slightly, visibility feels no worse honestly. Besides, in a Lambo I doubt you're really meant to care who's behind you!

Backward facing cameras have been around I'm concept cars for awhile but they're actually not street legal yet.

(As a substitute for mirrors that is)
it looks a bit awkward, like that body doesn't belong in a car that big
Wow, I can't wait till some soccer mum cuts me off in one of these things.
