Is it right for people with mental disabilities to be allowed to live?

I know this is harsh but lets face it. Mentally disabled children/adult don't contribute to society much. Infact they take away from society as their parents are forced to care for them, they need special care to run normally in everyday social activites and even then are usually shun by the other kids. They're miserable because not many children want to be seen with them. Worst case scenario they are exploited and used in social media such as adalia rose has been.
So i ask you, wouldn't it be better if we just killed them off from the start rather than force them to live such a horrible life?
"Killing them off from the start", who would do that? The state? Who decides who is disabled enough to be put to death? Oh dear. I don't think it's a very good idea to give the state that kind of power. Look at what they do already.
Personally I would never agree with this because it requires the initiation of force against people who have done nothing wrong apart from exist - it relies purely on the exercise of authority. Leave them to themselves, let their families/guardians/communities decide how to look after them. Society is not a single group of people, it is a collection of groups. A mentally disabled person may be less of a burden to one group within a society than another - there are a lot of different groups of people out there.

why not go the extra mile and kill everyone. all life is pretty mundane anyway
wow
I think parents should have the right to decide what's best, though I don't think many would be able to get themselves to do it.
Define "mental disability"
A lot of people with ie. autism has made some great things in their lives, you know.
Where is your evidence that they shouldn't be allowed to live?
Where is your evidence that they are miserable?
Why is needing special care and being shunned as a child criteria for removing someone's right to live?
There was just a thread not a few days ago about the same subject where the OP made the same assertion as you without any actual evidence. That OP of that thread didn't show any actual knowledge about people with mental disabilities, and frankly you don't either.
Why is someones value placed on how much they contribute to society? Should we kill all the homeless people as well?
