This may be one endorsement Newt Gingrich wishes he didn't receive. Ashley Madison, a "pro-adultery" website whose slogan is "Life is short. Have an affair," put up a billboard in Bucks County, PA, that "endorses" Newt Gingrich for president. Gingrich has famously admitted to extramarital affairs in the past. The billboard boasts a large picture of Gingrich, with the text, “Faithful Republican, Unfaithful Husband. Welcome to the AshleyMadison.com Era." This comes only a few days after Gingrich endorsed a "marriage pledge" that disavows adultery. (Clearly, a "wedding" was not politically urgent enough in the past.) According to The Morning Call, site founder Noel Biderman explained further in a statement: Now that Newt is the leading contender in the race for the GOP nomination, we felt compelled to make a point to illustrate how times have changed when a serial divorcee/adulterer is capturing the hearts of the American people. Gingrich proves that marital fidelity has no bearing on someone's ability to do a job. Rather than judge him, Americans have finally embraced the reality that affairs are commonplace, and perhaps paradoxically, might be an indication of great leadership to come. He is not the first nor last politician who will step outside of their marriage. The Morning Call also reveals that the company chose the non-politically imminent Pennsylvania to put up the billboard as it's the only state to see traffic fall over the last month. I mean, what kind of scumbag do you have to be to cheat on your wife who's dying from cancer? And then you want to talk about the so-called 'sanctity of marriage?'
"Marriage is a sacred bond between a man, a woman and a mistress."
Gingrich has famously admitted to extramarital affairs in the past.
Wait, so it's common freaking knowledge that he's an adulterer, yet people still listen to him preach?
Justice.
Well played... well played.
Wait, so it's common freaking knowledge that he's an adulterer, yet people still listen to him preach?
would you rather we elect politicians based on the details and mistakes of their past personal lives?
Wait, so it's common freaking knowledge that he's an adulterer, yet people still listen to him preach?
The fact that he sleeps with other women doesn't mean you shouldn't vote for him. The fact that he is a moron means you shouldn't vote for him.
would you rather we elect politicians based on the details and mistakes of their past personal lives?
What people are trying to say is that what he did directly conflicts with what he's saying he believes in.
What people are trying to say is that what he did directly conflicts with what he's saying he believes in.
But he's better than NOBAMA ololol
Well we've had adulterers as presidents before.
Well we've had adulterers as presidents before.
Yes, but put the crowd he is shooting for/support him in perspective. It makes it hilarious.
would you rather we elect politicians based on the details and mistakes of their past personal lives?
yeah that's what i thought at first, but i think what makes this valid is the fact that he's campaigning on being the "family values" candidate and upholding a strict definition of marriage that denies other americans the ability to marry, when he can't even follow those rules himself. it'd be like if a candidate campaigned on not eating sugary snacks but he eats sugar cubes for breakfast lunch and dinner, it's completely insignificant on it's own, but it shows what a hypocrite he is.
Newt Factz: During the Lewinsky scandal, Gingrich was a leader of an investigation into Clinton for perjury and obstruction of justice! While he was investigating Clinton, he was having an affair with a woman 23 years younger then him.
Wait, so it's common freaking knowledge that he's an adulterer, yet people still listen to him preach?
His honesty has to count for something even if he is a scumbag
His honesty has to count for something even if he is a scumbag
Honesty on one issue shouldnt forgive for another.
a website where you pay to cheat on someone? sounds like a giant scam, only fitting that they have a giant scam artist on their billboards.
ashleymadison.com is evil.
He also did it, and I quote, "for America" (his words.)
