While on holiday in Florida on Thursday, the US president wondered whether global warming might not be such a problem after all. As severe cold and record amounts of snow sweep across the US east coast, Trump wrote on Twitter that the country “could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against”. In doing so, he reheated two of his favourite tropes: the conflation of weather with climate to pour scepticism on global warming, and the supposed cost to the US taxpayer of the Paris climate accord from which he confirmed the US would withdraw in June this year. Both are well-worn themes of the president’s online repertoire. As far back as 2012 he tweeted: “It’s freezing and snowing in New York – we need global warming.”
edit: added more to the quote
“could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against”
Dumb motherfucker, literally every other country on Earth, even North Korea, are committed to combatting it, you sack of maggots.
it's okay to kill the planet because it's snowing outside and i've got a blanket of money to keep me warm
i hate this fucking guy
it's okay to kill the planet because it's snowing outside and i've got a blanket of money to keep me warm
"I will die of old age in 5 to 10 years so whats it matter if the world is fucked in 15 to 20?"
It's important to me that Trump be forced to spend his remaining years behind bars when this is all over.
I have accepted my shame for voting for him, but holy fuck, whatever he is smoking/taking I want some.
He's such a massive troll. Or maybe he really is dumb. Seems likely he's trying to take attention away from some other thing he'd rather we weren't thinking about, though.
I have accepted my shame for voting for him, but holy fuck, whatever he is smoking/taking I want some.
How did you not see this insanity from the start?
I have accepted my shame for voting for him, but holy fuck, whatever he is smoking/taking I want some.
if you voted for him i don't think you need to be smoking anything if delusion's what you're looking for
I have accepted my shame for voting for him, but holy fuck, whatever he is smoking/taking I want some.
We will forgive you so long as you vote blue in 2020
Unsurprisingly, the concept of an "average" or "mean", especially on a global scale, remains too complicated for a climate change denier. It's retardation like this that caused the shift to the term "Global Climate Change".
We will forgive you so long as you vote blue in 2020
Fuck that, I'll do write-in. North American Guildism or bust.
The Washington Post called their shot 24 hours in advance. That's how predictable Trump is.
Difference between weather and climate is taught in like 7th grade...and again in highschool biology...and again in college. There's no fucking excuse anymore.
Difference between weather and climate is taught in like 7th grade...and again in highschool biology...and again in college. There's no fucking excuse anymore.
If you think Trump even paid attention in high school, you don't know Trump. Never mind that climate wasn't understood as it is now back when he was young, he likely assumed he knew everything and was too busy getting ready to get into his dad's shoes and get busy fondling women, discriminating against minorities, and screwing other people over in business transactions. Because that's what his life's been since.
if you voted for him i don't think you need to be smoking anything if delusion's what you're looking for
this is definitely the attitude we need to convince people to vote blue in 2020 guys!! go ahead, keep demonizing the right so it only strengthens their beliefs. say hi to trump's second term.
I have accepted my shame for voting for him, but holy fuck, whatever he is smoking/taking I want some.
He was saying almost the exact same thing before he even started campaigning. This should have come at literally zero surprise to anyone.
He's such a massive troll. Or maybe he really is dumb. Seems likely he's trying to take attention away from some other thing he'd rather we weren't thinking about, though.
He is dumb as bricks is what he is
if you voted for him i don't think you need to be smoking anything if delusion's what you're looking for
This is exactly how we should treat every single person who voted for Trump regardless of whether they regretted it or not, acidic derision.
We don't call it Global Warming any more Trump, we changed it to Climate Change for dumb fucks.
If after all this you still think he's dumb, I'd advise to look at the stuff he's saying and doing more closely rather than acting on emotion. He's clearly pushing an agenda and making absurd changes that will give certain already powerful people more power and make the wealthiest more wealthier. He knows perfectly fine what he's doing.
that's the republican party, not trump.
How did you not see this insanity from the start?
During the (very) brief period in which I supported him (far, far before the election was truly in full swing), I enjoyed how he called out the issues in the system. There's also a false assumption that anyone running that gets to that point has a certain level of competence, regardless of how they act. Maybe that's why?
Isn't increased precipitation a symptom of global warming because of the way more water vapor gets trapped in the atmosphere due to increased evaporation (from increased temperatures)
"It's cold where I am which means global warming isn't real" is the go-to idiot line so it makes sense for him to say it.
If after all this you still think he's dumb, I'd advise to look at the stuff he's saying and doing more closely rather than acting on emotion. Summer 2017, 100* F: “global warming is a myth” Winter 2017, 25* F: “global warming is real and it’s actually good, I love global warming” Summer 2018, 105* F: “global warming is a myth”

He knows perfectly fine what he's doing.
Nah, dude, he is legitimately a fucking moron. Every one of his 'successes' can be attributed to someone else either monumentally fucking up or doing all the work for him more than it can be to Tinyhands' own competence. The man has always been a narcissistic fuckwit. Pushing an agenda doesn't make a person smart Half the reason he's president at all is because of Republican gerrymandering and not just priming their voter base for exactly the kind of person Tinyhands is but also running a fucking assload of milquetoast flaccid candidates during the primaries. And the motherfucker still lost the presidential popular vote by three damn million. Which he is constantly reminding people of by crying about voter fraud and yelling about brown people Take just ten minutes out of your day to go over even the most cursory timeline of his personal history and you'll find nothing that indicates he's actually secretly a smart man playing everyone for chumps by acting the fool. He has been doing the exact same dumb shit for literal decades, the only difference now is instead of running another shitty casino into the dirt he's running an entire nation He's not some ultra smart 9238 dimensional hyperchess player, he's a rich kid con man born into privilege who never had to work for a single thing in his entire life because someone else could always be paid to do it for him who just so happened to have the luck to be the exact kind of loud, vapid idiot to fit perfectly into that Reagan 2.0 slot the Republicans have been tirelessly building ever since they lost the first one, and their corruption and incompetence propelled him right up to the top of their party on a chintzy golden staircase I think it's just plain ignorance to call the man smart, and willful ignorance to keep seeing him as smart
Didn't hurricanes cause billions of damages and multiple deaths in the US this year? And Trump was there, handing out supplies and insulting Puerto Ricans. I'm definitely not imagining that, so maybe now is not the time to brag about how little your country is contributing in the now worldwide (everyone has since agreed but Trumpland iirc) effort to combat climate change and its effects in worsening extreme weather.
Hey, FP idiots who voted him in, how does it feel?
