neat short film about a robot servant thing. maybe late, maybe not. i found it interesting.
Who is to blame!?
the little shit of a kid.
Interesting.
Well that was extremely well done, visually. I don't know what to say about the story though except that little fucker deserved everything he got.
It's the kid's fault. Should've ignored his parents.
That was amazing and the annoying kid deserved it.
How come in every movie, TV show, and short in which a kid gets a cool robot or pet he treats it like shit?
3:28 DAT AsS.

that was pretty well made
Poor Blinky :frown:.
Thing is actually pretty cute. Kid's mom is hot too.
Humans have a tendency to be complete assholes to their robots in things like this, which confuses me. I'd have thought people would've understood the connection of treating robots with respect would cause things like this not to happen.
When Blinky was [sp]in the rain after being ordered to kill everyone[/sp] I felt bad for the kid. Now this kid is a genuine asshole. Edit after watching entire thing: The robot is not at fault, he was simply the obedient tool that destroyed the already crippled family.
Wow, this was pretty incredible, my heart actually leapt at the twist. Never felt emotions and chills like that from a movie before. The ending shot was a little..ehh. but it was still twisted and great. All in all, great film. The thought of accidental cannibalism has always been a horror maker of mine. The kid acts like an asshole because the ads on the TV promised that Blinky would bring their family closer (stop the parents from fighting here), which was obviously untrue. But he took the message to heart, so when his parents still continue to fight, he blames the robot. The kid is mean to the robot not because he's a sadistic arse, but because the emotional pain of his parents' fighting forced him to take it out on his one object of hope. So the kid's fate isn't some form of disproportionate divine retribution. Infact, his fate was completely unfitting with the theme of the film (but that doesn't mean it was a bad thing) I could write a goddamn essay on this.
Moral of the story: Treat your robot butler like shit and he'll fuck you up.
Moral of the story: Treat your robot butler like shit and he'll fuck you up.
More like treat anything/anyone like shit and they'll fuck you up
Moral of the story: Treat your robot butler like shit and he'll fuck you up.
Moral of the story: Always beware of sentient/semi-sentient objects with a continual smile.
Now that I think about it, Blinky's face looks kind of like The Oatmeal's logo
No Problem.
It was great until near the end when it turned into a horror-esque thing. also I dunno why but I love movies based in the near future.
Good watch but you'd think robots would have a built in deactivation chip and plenty of fail safes to prevent harm to humans.
Good watch but you'd think robots would have a built in deactivation chip and plenty of fail safes to prevent harm to humans.
...Especially after people make all of the movies like this.
Good watch but you'd think robots would have a built in deactivation chip and plenty of fail safes to prevent harm to humans.
You would think huh! Too bad they aren't real to that extent.
Good watch but you'd think robots would have a built in deactivation chip and plenty of fail safes to prevent harm to humans.
I thought of that too but he "glitches out" and that could possibly render the fail safes null.
I wish that robot cooked for me.
You would think huh! Too bad they aren't real to that extent.
They will be within 50 years. I know this is just a short film and it gets it's point across but I was merely stating that in reality this likely wouldn't happen.
I thought of that too but he "glitches out" and that could possibly render the fail safes null.
Perhaps but fail safes are kinda made not to fail. Sure it could happen but you would build in redundant systems so if one fails all the others activate to ensure human safety.
Made me sad. Poor robot <3
That was such a creepy ending.
