Guns N' Roses's AFD Lineup to Reunite for Coachella
It's official: Slash will reunite with Guns N' Roses and Axl Rose. The band will play Coachella on the weekends of April 15-17 and April 22-24, according to the New York Times. It's still unclear if original members Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan, all of whom appeared on the group's 1986 album Appetite for Destruction, or subsequent members Matt Sorum and Dizzy Reed, will join the shows.
According to Billboard, the band is also in negotiations for a North American headlining tour. The group has reportedly asked for up to $3 million per show, with tickets reported to cost up to $275 per night for the reunion tour.
Rose is set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live next week to discuss the group's future plans for the first time.
Rumors of the classic lineup's reunion were first sparked when Slash told CBS This Morning in May of this year that the "tension ... has dissipated" between Rose and him. "We don't have all those issues anymore," he said. "There's not a lot of controversy. It's something that's more perpetuated by the media than anything." A few months later, he revealed that he'd spoken to the singer.
News that two longtime Guns N' Roses guitarists were quitting fueled more rumors. DJ Ashba announced his departure in July 2015, while Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal's quiet 2014 departure was revealed a few days later.
Hopefully Duff knocks his ass into shape. I mean I don't expect a full-on experience of the 1980's, but I'm hopeful.
Guns and Roses is one of the shittiest bands in the world, I really like that bumblefoot guy that played for them though.
Maybe this means bumblefoot will do another solo album or something.
People say he sucks but i saw him last year and he was awesome. Great show.

Did he show up on time?
Cool to see one of the greatest bands of all-time reunite at Coachella. And Guns n Roses will be there too!
Did he show up on time?
Yes. And the 75,000 people that were there thought he was good
Are you sure it won't be a hologram instead? :v:

Yeah unless at least Duff get's on board this is not even a half a reunion/

Yeah fuck that, even if Steven Adler decides to rejoin, this is fucking ridiculous. I wouldn't pay that to see every member of Led Zeppelin, John included.

Aren't they known to be total dickheads live anyway?

As if he ever could :v:
Slash is, specifically.
He's probably the most unlikable person in rock, the dude's a real piece of shit. Arrives to shows late almost all the time, if he even comes, arrogant as shit, talks shit about all other bands (and even to other GnR bandmates).
man. Found Axl's account...

I always heard Slash is a pretty chill guy but Axl is a massive douchelord
Well, Coachella has officially announced their headliners: LCD Soundsystem, Guns N' Roses, and Calvin Harris (lol)

Same, unless you say "BB King is the worst guitarist ever", in which case he has been known to stab a nigga.

Axl might not turn up
Holy shit, it's actually happening. Will totally be watching Coachella this year.
If you wanna get the GnR experience, see Slash. He's been recently playing with Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge and a couple other guys. Live they're usually playing their own songs and like five, six of the classics - Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child O' Mine, Nightrain, Rocket Queen, it varies. Slash is still in top notch form and Myles can actually handle Axl's vocals much better than Axl himself currently.
Feel free to compare with the video someone posted with Axl

too true. Seen slash two times, 2011 and last year 2015. Both amazing experiences and Myles is far better than Axl is going to be or has been the last 10 years. To be fair maybe Axl kicked the shit out of Myles back in the day, but now hes not even close, and thats how it is.
Thats the one reason why im not that pumped about GnR getting back together. Seems like a cryout from Axl to stay relevant again.
