One of my old teachers wrote a kickass novel about a bunch of ten or so year olds discovering a terroris plot and such. Never got it published though.

Did she interview kids around the school to get some actual basis on what a childs life is like today? Or did she just go with we are all street, pot smoking,gangsters.

It sounds really shit. Derp, judging a book by it's cover. Seriously though - it seems just like what you get when product designers are made to cater to teenagers, and make something "cool", but it turns out being incredibly lame, and blatant in its attempt at exploiting the teenage market. Also, her 'about the author' page says her teaches English in South Yorkshire, and so I'm assuming you live there. So do I.

My aunt is a fairly popular author, I doubt anyone actually cares though and that's why I didn't make a thread on the subject. [editline]22:22[/editline] The actual story seems okay from what I've read on the site, fairly interesting though the constant use of slang annoys me as even for the type of character she's trying to portray, it seems like it's out of place and forced. It gets annoying having the stereotype shoved in your face at every opportunity.

One of my teachers wrote a book about 2 adolescent homosexuals being leaders on a kids soccer camp, they had non nude sex with each other on a staff night when a bluegrass band played there and the other leaders became suspicious. They kept it behind doors but when they became gay in public ( EG by sleeping with together ) the others got angry. Then they got dispelled from the camp. Then they went to one of the guys house by plane and had sex in a bad tub and played piggy back and such. Then one of the guys had to play soccer on a tournament and asked guy number one to stay home. He quitely followed him to the tournament and the book ended with them having sex on a soccerfield.

I don't read these books, they don't interest me.
