It's a pretty cool vid, I do wonder how it would actually fair in combat vs the SU-35S however.

Why would France be undertaking such exercises in a fellow EU nations borders? It doesn't make sense.
Nice to know that the SwAF is still going fairly well albeit not at the numbers seen in the past. The JAS 39 is an amazing aircraft and have one of the best engine whirrs when it flies past.

Well, gripen probably has way better avionics and some hi-tech stuff, while Su has a better radar (400 km vs 120km), slightly better speed, ceiling and range, it's more maneuverable etc. Can't compare their armament though, but su's maximum takeoff weight is two and a half times more than gripen's one.
All in all i would bet on su (mostly because of it's greater radar range), still i'm just playing an armchair expert, so i can easily be wrong in something.

There's also considerably less SU-35s in the Russian air force than Gripens in Sweden's air force.
Sweden would have a pretty big advantage in numbers as well.

Also they have lots of other planes with comparable characteristics, like mig 31 and others.
