Police to begin excavating a car to solve a murder
A car buried under a shed in outback South Australia is key to solving the 2012 stabbing murder of Jayson Doelz, police have said.
Mr Doelz was 27 when his body was found bashed and stabbed to death at Kersbrook in the Adelaide Hills during January 2012.
Police believe he was badly beaten at a Pooraka address before being driven to Kersbrook one day later where he was stabbed to death with two knives.
Police last month said a car linked to the case was buried in the state's far north-east.
On Monday it was revealed as being buried up to five metres below the surface of a shed at Innamincka.
Detective Inspector Greg Hutchins said Mr Doelz was abducted in a black Ford Falcon XR6 sedan, which was taken to several addresses in Adelaide's north after the murder.
Only in Australia.
I read "car" as "cat" and was really fucking bewildered for a moment. Honestly excavating a car isn't that surprising, although one wonders why the car was buried in the first place...

I dont get that, why try to hide evidence by burying it?
why not drive it out to the middle of nowhere (its fucking Australia), spray it with pigs blood and meat chunks inside and out and let the elements and animals (its fucking Australia) tear it apart and destroy every particle of evidence that could have possibly been inside it?

You could try reading the article:
Detective Inspector Greg Hutchins said Mr Doelz was abducted in a black Ford Falcon XR6 sedan, which was taken to several addresses in Adelaide's north after the murder.
He said it was then put in a shipping container and taken to Innamincka and buried by companies that had "nothing to do with this crime".

Because Australia has proven to not be the smartest criminals.
Sorry Australians.
I dunno about that, we have a very long list of people who go missing and drop off the face of the Earth. Some people appear to be quite capable at getting rid of people.

Are people doing that? or are the spiders...
Spider uprising is gaining momentum and whistle-blowers need to be silenced
What company is paid to bury cargo containers? What a strange business. Also bring a whole new meaning yo buried treasure!
why not just set it on fire?
That seems like the very very easiest solution.
I like how a few people are like "Nah I could have done this better."
:what:
Considering this is the shed:

And the car is fifteen feet under that. I would say that if someone didn't talk they would of probably never found it. It's like digging a shallow grave in a construction site the night before they pour the foundation.
Thats not a shed, thats a fucking hanger.
warehouse is more appropriate rather than a shed

There are companies that bury shipping containers for use as personal bunkers, but those are obviously modified with exits and ventilation. A shipping container with a car in it being buried is weird, but you could probably hire a construction company to do it.

No, it's a hangar. You're not going to hang your coat on it.

I don't see a part in the article where it says they buried the car in the container, only that they transported it in a container which is something that's not all that out of the ordinary.

I'll hang my coat wherever the hell I want!
I expected it to be a poorly constructed shed in an aussies backyard
I at least expected it to be surrounded by empty Fosters cans.
