Considering that she's playing Peter Parker's ill-fated first girlfriend Gwen Stacy, many fans
have already prepared themselves for the possibility that Emma Stone won't survive the "Spider-Man" reboot.
But if you're already in the midst of scribbling out Gwen's obituary, perhaps your suspicions are a bit premature. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (via Reelz Channel), the blonde actress indicated that she's going to appear in multiple "Spider-Man" movies.
"There's a few 'Spider-Men' [movies]," she told Leno. "So I may have to keep [my blonde hair] for a couple of years."
Sounds like Stone is sticking with Stacy for at least a little bit longer than one movie, don't you think? It's certainly not out of the realm of possibility that Gwen won't make it through the first installment of the rebooted "Spider-Man" series — she could be referring to future flashback or vision appearances, after all — but it's equally likely, if not more so, that Gwen is going to be just fine by the end of "Spider-Man."
But survival doesn't necessitate safety, and it certainly sounds as if Stone's character will be put through the wringer if her workout regime is any indication.
"The other day, after work, I was supposed to work out with our trainer and [Andrew Garfield] said 'Would it be OK if I worked out with you guys?' And I was like 'No, that would not be OK,'" she recalled. "He said 'Why? It'll be a bonding experience.' And I was like, 'Because you can lift a car and I am a weakling beyond belief.' So, it's pretty brutal; we're on two completely different ends of the spectrum."
I like her but she just doesn't seem right for the part
She had better be a redhead in them! :argh:

Gwen Stacy is not a redhead.
How many more Spider Man movies will there be?
i think theyre gonna do a trilogy, maybe 4. i forget what theyve said
I hope they stay true to the original source material, and have spider-man kill her.
I would hit it like a boss
Fair enough, I just hope that she can put on a good performance as well that will be a bonus.

Because then I will :gizz: everywhere.
she's naturally blonde and the only majorly important redheaded female character in the series was marry jane who dies at a certain point in time in most of the spiderman universes. seeing as kirsten dunst doesn't want to do the series anymore, her character is most likely going to be killed off early in this upcoming series of movies (as in the first one), as you can't just change a character's actor/actress like that so drastically. of course for iron man 2 it only worked because don cheadle is a better actor. and for harry potter they didn't really have a choice and obviously gandalf is the next best thing.
I still dont see why they are remaking Spiderman anyway. It came out less than 10 years ago. It just seems stupid.

Because the Sam Raimi didn't want to do it anymore.

It's like when I found out the True Grit had been remade. I fucking hate Hollywood at the moment. No originality, but it's okay as long as we've got 3D!
yeah man remakes are terrible solely because they're remakes down with all remakes
are you fucking serious

true grit was originally a novel. They've done several versions of the Great Gatsby, I figure Portis' book deserves a bit more of an update. Besides it has Jeff Bridges and is directed by the Coen brothers. There is such a small margin of error possible with a combo like that.

You're missing the point. Spider-man 1 was less than 10 years ago, and Spider-man 3 was 3 years ago. There is no reason to restart it so damn early, that's why people are upset.

herp derp true grit remake was terrible and only made so that the coen brothers can cash in

who cares (you obv)
not like the opinion of some fat guy on the internet is going to change a movie executive

they rebooted the hulk like 5 years apart

...no, it isn't. this isn't going to be a remake, this is more likely to be a continuation. not really sure why you think it's going to be a total remake, but whatever, the reason people are upset is because spiderman 3 was atrocious
[editline]28th December 2010[/editline]
and if that really were the case, that this was just going to be a complete remake of the first 3 movies, which it can't be as gwen stacy was only a minor character in the 3rd film, true grit is a terrible example because it's a remake of a 40 year old movie. which goes to show - you really just hate remakes for being remakes.
they rebooted the hulk like 5 years apart
it was for the better, too.

not to mention it's actually being really really well received
Well hopefully this is good, Emma Stone is great, I just hope the series can bounce back from the pure shit that was Spiderman 3.

are you fucking retarded, true grit is based of the book, not in 3D, critically acclaimed and directed by the fucking COEN BROTHERS
not to mention it has jeff fucking bridges
it's a reboot, not a remake or a continuation, right?
That's right.
New cast. New plot. New everything.
Though hopefully, they keep the spirit of Spider-Man the same.
Lets hope they don't go hipster on us and have Peter dance again in Spidey 3

I agree, then we should have the Jackal bring her back.
