Does the gun fire feel cheap or does everything feel natural?
The gun sounds a bit muted, and the overall feel is a bit stiff, but everything else is fine. I'm sure everything is going to be fixed in the days to come. Maybe even a flashlight will be added?

Yeah lets totally forget this is an engine test and moan about how 'stiff' it is.
What? Snake asked how the guns "felt", and I said it felt stiff.
All I really wanted out of the engine test was an ability to walk around, and that's what I got. Now I can walk around my maps and get the spacing and sizing done properly.
"So is there any problems with this build running on your machine?"
"Bit stiff anit it?"

lol sexual euphemism
I recorded a session in the engine test. It's still processing so you might want to wait a bit. Otherwise you can jump right in and take a look.

Ohh man this game is going to be amazing.
anyone got a direct link to the torrent? site wont load.
Isn't this only for the guys who payed for the "premium" download?
This looks awesome. Finally some proof it exists :haw:!
I just tried it, I'm quite impressed and I like it a lot. NS2 and Overgrowth are both two very good investments if you ask me. I am particularly impressed by the lightning. Shame there is no flashlight yet so that I can toy with the shadows.
THIS, is why the Source engine is outdated.
THIS, is why the Source engine is outdated.
On one hand, I agree.
On the other hand, it is an engine that can run well on most any computer, and is fairly flexible. Making most of the games on it available to the general market. Its graphics aren't bad, they're just old.

A huge rant, or just call you an idiot and call it a day?
Idiot.

NS2's lighting is better than Source's.

Episode 2's lighting was very good too >.>

Yes but NS2's lighting is better.
Judging from the video posted, I am impressed what I see, certainly not what I had expected from this. Although no amount of sequels/remakes of NS is ever gonna come close to the original experience. :sax:
Better how? I assume you have access to the source code for both projects to make that crazy assumption? I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you, It's just a stupid thing to say that one thing is better than another when you have no clue how either of the systems working in the first place. Valve have the resources to cobble together a nice little lighting system but they don't need to yet.
Probably wont listen to reason but hopefully someone with the same attitude will.
